    Wow MIW,

Thanks for the heads up.......I haven't used that stuff for over 2 years, but it's important information nonetheless. I got sucked into the grow store marketing BS when my wife first got her recommendation.

Just what an ailing cancer patient needs is another carcinogen.

    Take care,

Thanks for the information. It's about time these expensive, dangerous, additives are banned for sale to MJ growers calling themselves medical growers..

  3. That goes to show you what these companies think of us, doesn't it? Fuck em.....MIW

  4. MIW,

I just re-read that entire link you posted and was blown away at how toxic that shit is. The whole story from the introduction of "superbud" until now with all the "connected" players is to say the least........disgusting.

These people sell poison for 2300% profit.....and the worst part is that people buy it. That was an intense read, but again, thanks.

  5. If you dig around the web site that MIW linked to you'll find the tale of the ongoing battle between Advanced Nutrients and the Oregon Department of Agriculture. They have about 60% of the correspondence that transpired. There are about 4 other letters from each side.

I'm not sure why they weren't included in their analysis of the lies by Advanced Nutrients in the whole matter.

So much for the line 'the guy at the grow store told me'

  6. Another example of the games played by 'nute' companies is the deal with Soluble Potash - K2O

A term with a huge range of definitions thanks to the lobbying efforts of chemical companies.

For example it can, and does, refer to mined mineral Potash. It can also be used on Potash (soluble) that is derived from chemical action.

Then there's the junk that Advanced Nutrients uses out of China (Alibaba.com). This is 52% purity and costs between $500.00 - $700.00 per ton which works out to be about $2.00 per gallon FOB.

The products that contain this are almost always 3% so you can see how much of a profit margin is involved.

  7. And people still wonder why some of us like growing organically?

I despair at the idiocy of people in the world.

If you were to hit the Advanced Nutrients home page and you were using a computer located in Oregon you would discover that as soon as the URL begins to load you're directed (via JavaScript) to another version of their web site for Oregon residents in FatBoy's feeble attempt to make peace.

  12. When I try and go on the Advanced pages, it give me the choice of Oregon, Illinois, or Wordwide.

    Weird.........

Here's another one for you - everyone has been led to believe that he's up in Canada and perhaps he is. I don't know and don't really care but I do find it interesting that when they register their products they use an address in Brandenburg, Kentucky [cite].

If they're out there, I'm going to find them, and I'm going to gnaw on their skulls. Because it still hasn't gotten weird enough for me.

  15. Hey, I was part (probably a big part) of the whole "bottled nutrient consumer" bunch for many, many years. I HAD to have this, or I HAD to have that - I couldnt grow without these very expensive products. I firmly believed that I needed them or my grows would suffer. I couldnt even begin to think of how many thousands of dollars I spent on bottles of just for many many years. SO MUCH MONEY!!!!

I'm at the point now where I cant remember the last time I bought a "bottle". Of course, I do still buy fish hydrosylate, or BioAg products, etc...but as far as going to a hydro/grow store for nutrients - I will never, ever have to do that again.

My grow these days totally blow away anything I've ever done with bottled nutes. Theres not even a close comparison.

Thank God I finally saw the light. I've said it before and I'll say it again - it took me 20+ years to figure it out and countless, unneeded thousands were spent, but hey - better late than never.

  16. I agree Jerry, but it's not just about money. These guys are selling us bottled cancer. And like sheep we pay big money for it. I deal with a fair amount of patients with cancer and find this behavior criminal. They know what we use it for, they market it towards us, and they fucking know what it does. They need to do the perp walk and pay dearly for their sins..... A few years back some groups burned down some buildings on MSU campus that were doing animal research, and this BS is much worse and geared toward people. There should be a special hell just for them.......MIW

  17. Every industry in every part of the world sells us cancer. Whether its the plant growing industry, food industry, construction, medical and dental industry, or the automobile industry. I work in the animal field. Check your dog food bag ingredients. You know what all those long words are that you can't pronounce...Petroleum products...Cancer. Ever heard of the Gerson Therepy? It's a about a guy that cures diseases with an organic Vegan diet. "A Beatiful Truth" is a great documentary about how our industries sell us cancer and how this doctor fixes it with his organic methods. Very cool flic.

  18. They can be taken down and are in a couple of states....................

  19. thanks for sharing that link MIW. a good read, that's some clear &consistent sleuthing.

Rosebud (and the like) magazines pornographic articles seem a lot less enticing now.

  20. Not only does the article show us that these people are criminal, but it makes me breath a sigh of relief just knowing that I dont have to deal with them or go near them and their wares again.

It was a reality slap after reading the article and finding that it is actually bad stuff. My reason before reading the article was simple - organic works better than chemical nutes. That was a no-brainer.

Now I just have more reason not to use bottled goods. MIW - I sure do understand that its not just about money.
