quick question for you

  1. i have a quick question for you guys

im about to start my first outdoor grow after a few failed attempts and an indoor one

    heres my question
after the plant is fully matured and ready to be harvested, is it possible to just cut off the buds and leave the rest of the plant? would it just go dormant over the winter and grow back again in the spring like other plants?

the reason im asking this is because im fairly limited on seeds and dont really want to loose a whole plant just to get seeds and i havent heard of any way to store clones for an extended period.

im sure this question has been asked a million times but i couldnt find anything with the search....or its just too retarded for anyone to even think of
    thanks

  2. naw, best curing method is to chop the whole pant. However you can get a few harvests off of a plant at once. Im not 100% sure how, its on this board somewhere, look for it.

  4. MJ is an annual plant. It does not go dormant over-winter and comes back the next spring.

  5. I've heard of people cutting down 90% of aplant then re vegging it,but this means bringing it inside and giving it 24 hours of light. This is highlystressful and i don't reccommend it

  6. Dude, you cut off everything except some small growth towards the bottom, put her back on 20/4 or 24/0, feed her with some vegging nutes and before long you will see new growth forming on what was left. You don't have to leave a lot, either, just some of the popcorn at the bottom. It sometimes helps if you transplant into a new container (if it's outside, depending on where you live and the tech you have - I have seen sativas over 25 feet tall, over 7 years old, trees in the literal sense of the word with frigging bark and everything) you just have to have the right environment to keep it alive, outside if it gets too cold it will die. Most important is no frost on the plant, keep roots warm (pipe heating tape in the ground or wrapped around the pots) and you can reveg to your hearts content.
