The following is taken from the performance Alien Dreamtime, created by Spacetime Continuum and Terence McKenna.

"...theres a button somewhere inside each and every one of us that gives you a look into the other side. And that's the button that resets the compass that tells you where you want to sail. Good luck!"

This just hit me pretty hard, and I finally understood this statement.

When I first pressed my "button",
took my first psychedelic,
I felt it.
I got that glimpse into the other side
and began that speedy ride down the imagination "high" way.
The gasp of my ego as it recoiled
shook my foundation and broiled my mind
and so I put behind me my old ways
and no longer see the world as if through a haze.

Love Terence McKenna. And odd you bring up Alien Dreamtime, cuz I've been wanting to watch it but keep putting it off.

Here's a more in depth read on the statement if anyone's interested:

Alien Love

To me, the button is a weapon of mass destruction, only what it destroys is a lot of what I thought I knew. Instead the button gives me the unbiased truth and it is that truth that allows me to set sail in any direction I choose.
