If you have to ask then you are not yet seasoned in toking

Thats a damn good question.

I guess it all depends on how long you've been smoking.

Like I feel like an newbie but my supplier is talking all this pot talk. And his younger than me!!! However I've been dipple dappling with smoking on and off.

DAMN GOOD QUESTION!

one is always learning new things about ganja. Its more about who you are around and how much the people you regularly blaze with know.

The time is inversely proportional to the amount of years you've been on the planet over the number of years you've been smoking, plus the amount you've spent aligned with your astrological sign divided by the number of grams you think there are in an ounce.

In other words, you just know.

However, it's just a FORUM TITLE, it's nothing more than that. If you think you're seasoned, you are. But that doesn't have anything to do with whether or not you should be posting in this forum. The "Seasoned Toker" in the title basically refers to old fogeys such as myself.

I mean I don't consider anyone actually "seasoned" until they've been smoking at least half their lives. PLUS if you were born after I started smoking (circa 1988) then there's no way you can actually be seasoned. You're just too young.

BUT don't let that stop you. That's just my opinion, and opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one.

Hmm, I'm not really sure. I've been toking for about 2 years now, and I just enjoy the Seasoned Tokers thread because I can browse it and not run into a thousand posts like, "Did my guy rip me off?","Was my weed laced?", "How do I hide it from my parents?".

I would say more then 3 years, but I guess you can't really calculate the seasoness of a toker by time, it's all in the experience, anyone feel me?

IMO, its not a specific time period, its just your level of experience with cannabis. like if youve been smoking for 10 years but getting from the same dealer and just getting papers from the cornwr store, i dont know that you would be "seasoned". but if uve only been toking for a year or 2 and uve met a bunch of dealers, experienced myriad different strains and methods of consumption, etc., id say your seasoned. i know someone whos been toking regularly for 5 years and still barely knows anything about weed (sativa/indica, slang, weights, quality, how to use a vaporizer, make an improvised bong). all because hes just pays 10 for a little bag of good mids (which his dealer calls "og kush") pretty much his whole time toking. but i also know a guy who started on 4/20/2010 but he has a shitload of stoner friends and hes pretty knowledgeable about bud. so to conclude this really long post, IMO its not about the number of years youve been toking but your experiences as a whole

I agree. It partly depends on how often you smoke, and how much of the culture you've been exposed to. But in all honesty, I don't think a year or two is enough to consider yourself seasoned. In a years time you don't have enough time to see how MJ effects your life and personality in the long term. You're really just starting out a lifetime of adventures with maryjane.

You walk through the city many people around and see these ashtrays in front of shops or small pubs/bars.

Then you know it's a secret syndicate 20 weird aliens sit underground they smoke 24/7 and reading the brains of the people.

We are all being observed but only seasoned tokers know the truth. All the regular people think they are ashtrays not smoke exhausts.

No really when there is really unusual high amount of smoke and you really believe this weird thought yourself then you know Mary Jane got you.

Not sure how long it takes, but IMO to qualify for Seasoned Toker you should be able to:

Roll a decent joint in under 15 seconds (not puttin the bud on just the actual rolling)
Roll a perfect joint (tight, no creases, no air gaps etc)
Smoke at least 3 grams of dank in an hour (IK experienced tokers don't like to rush smoking, but if someone else gave you the weed as a challenge etc)
Smoke at least a .3 in one bong hit

I also don't think you're seasoned until you at least tried a vape, grav bong, hot knifing/hot coal hash. Basically lots of different smoking methods, but not edibles cause that's not really toking

Tolerance isn't really a key factor, but most seasoned tokers will have high tolerence

I think as a general guideline, If you have smoked over a kilogram of weed in your life, then you are (or should be) pretty seasoned. 1 kilo = 286 eighths lol, so don't expect it to happen quick.

I would like to note that I don't think of myself as a seasoned toker, so I'm not just writing all the shit that I can do or have done lol

Not read many of the replys so if its been said, fair enough.

I would only recently call myself a seasoned toker. Ive been smoking 3 years now every week maybe having the occasional 3 day break due to work every now and then. I started smoking standard mids n loved it. Year later got a few more contacts dealiing HQ bud. Its after smoking high grade for these last 2 years i would say im a seasoned toker. Im talking about picking up an 8th of dank having it my pocket and people 15ft away can smell it lol seriously stinky shit.

Its when you go back to smoking mids and finding me and my friends usually rolling 2 - 3 spliffs between us to get to the same level.

Put it this way my friend (Not a stoner friend) but hes been smoking for about a year on and off but still enjoys a smoke. I dont usually mingle my old school friends with my stoner friends. However my mate wanted to pick up so i took him to see my stoner buddies... lol We just picked up some Lemon Skunk and had one hit of the bong each... was all good went down gravy... until my friend hit it... I swear man he was knocked the fuck out for like 5 hours.

Was fun but ive smoked with this dude many times but never really touched high grade but still lol I was shocked it hit him so hard ha Needless to say it was fun playing street fighter. Yesw that makes perfect sense ^_^

Am I the only person that when I hear "seasoned toker" thinks of a hippy sprinkling paprika all over himself?
