Good thing someone shows Lou some love...he's easily up there with Celph, Eso, etc. but gets slept on. Dude's got a nasty flow and great multi's.
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvNshDvAN_w]Louis Logic - The Ugly Truth - YouTube[/ame]
The first song that opened my eyes to how creative and talented Lou is. Up until the end I was like, wow. This guy is racist as FUCK! My boy told me just to wait..the last bar made me smile and understand. I've showed it to teachers, friends, etc. who think rap isn't creative and has no message.

Just a funny ass song, whenever someone mentions Louis Logic, I'm like "LOUUUU!"

anyway.. more illness. Thomax is a ILL producer who remixes acapellas he finds that he thinks are ill(he got great taste), and then posts them on his website for free. definitely check out more of his remixes if you feel this at all. plus, Reef raw as fuck.

Man, Reef that dude. That Gunz-N-Butter Fight Music album that acapella jawn is from is CRAZY! That song especially, one of my favs off the drop. His collab with King Mag and Slaine (Suicide Slang) and with Vinnie and Burke The Jerk (can't remember the name now) and with Kool G Rap and RA (Three Greats) are DOPE! Classics. Stu Bangaz did the whole album's production.
That beat was real nice though. I'll have to look into him. Does he ever post beats for sale with exclusive rights or free beats to download?
And Reef's been on my radar since the first AOTP album. He always been raw, but he's finally coming into his own with delivery and punchlines.
This was a great thread idea. I finally don't feel out of place for 3 pages and have something to say about almost EVERY post.
Spoonfull is fairly unknown (vids have like 1000-2000 views), but a boy of mine turned me onto him.

i dont think he does, unfortunately. id drop dough for exclusive Thomax beat rights though hahahah. everybody on youtube comments how he should turn it into a living but mostly he just keeps remixing shit for free lol. he's got 2 collections of instrumentals available on that website but you gotta drop dollaz for em. he finally realized he had enough talent and exposure to make some paper!
might be able to find those instrumentals for free.. ima look into it after i go take a piss i been putting off for too long lolll
as for Spoonfull, good lookin out man i've hit up a little of his music before but it never really sank in til just now

Yeah, Spoonfull bridges that gap I think of as Reflective Hip-Hop and Conceptual.
Deep Puddle Dynamics were real a real conceptual group. Slug from Atmos, Doseone (went to Scribble Jam a few times), and Alias and Sole (homies from not too far from where I live that were signed to Anticon). They did one album that was crazy.
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEHIldAAd6c]Deep Puddle Dynamics The scarecrow speaks - YouTube[/ame]
One of my favorite tracks. No hooks, just straight verses with a message in each and a differing style.

Real conceptual track. It's a story from 4 different perspectives. Real cool.

Damn..that was some real story telling ish..feeling the flow and smooth delivery, lyrics were nice. Love finding new dudes. You always think you know underground inside and out, but someone else's mental catalogue is different than yours and filled with other artists.

I know you feelin Chicago's own Rasheed Chappell, and his debut album "Future Before Nostalgia" is dropping real soon! With Kenny Dope on the production I know it's goin to be a instant top three album of the year for me.
Dudes fuckin nice man!

idk why yall cant post this in the other thread, buuut just postin to sub
since theres a lotta general discord between mainstream fans and underground fans at the Hip-Hop Round Table, hopefully this thread can spare us some conflict.
plus, like 90% of the time int hat other thread, i post somethin almost nobodys heard about, then all the dudes who love jay-z and kanye and wayne and wiz or whatever vibe theyre on jump in and ignore my shit and then it just disappears onto the last page.. same shit happens to other people too and sometimes theres a good lil discussion about some underground shit but then somebody drops in and goes
WATCH THE THRONE shuttin down the rap game! and then everybody whos into that stuff starts talkin about it again. it just gets old hearing about the same shit all the time lol

WtT shuttin down the rap game doe
good looks on makin the thread, i think it'll be a good thing to at least try to seperate the mainstream/underground stuff a little bit, probably less arguments (started by me) in the round table thread, more discussion for you underground heads, etc
idk
edit: i wanna contribute i guess idk i'm not very good with underground shi most of it makes me mad but this is alright

youtube quality is AWFUL though fuck
