^^ I've had that happen. A cop followed me forever and I just kept driving around my neighborhood till he gave up. I'm white and this was in a rich.neighborhood. this isn't even about profiling Cops are just dicks trying to get you wherever they can to.meet their quota faster and go eat doughnuts -yuri
That happened to me once when I was high and had just picked up two ounces. Needless to say, my driving was fucking perfect for that whole ~20 mins.
@smokinp Regarding the Assad meme, are you really a fan of Assad? I agree that ISIS is very fishy and smells of the CIA and that Assad may not be behind the chemical attacks in Syria and the Syrian government was arguably more tolerant that Saudi Arabia but he is still a brutal dictator. I once made a joke that I was going to redistribute the grades for one of the classes I teach. I said I was going to take the grades of the white men and add extra points to minorities and women nobody got the joke.
Well you kind of brought that upon yourself. A better way to of phrased that was take the higher grades of the more achievement oriented students, and redistributed them to the ones who spend all day on their cellulars and staring at the clock. You know, getting by without any form of effort & no repercussions. Kinda a microcosm of our current society. The kids my little brother is in school with make me sick and are poisoning his bright little mind. How the hell did you not get fired. I am sure some bleeding heart parents would of made sure you were in the local progressive newspaper that nobody reads.
I didn't make the joke to my students, I wouldn't want them to feel uncomfortable. In fact one of my students who is a socialist thought I was a socialist because I spent hours explaining the socialist perspective to my students. I teach international relations.I told the joke to a few leftist friends in the department who like me and respect me due to the evaluations by my students but avidly disagree with my politics. And i teach at a university not a public school. My students love me because I spend hours outside of class explaining whatever they have questions on and helping them genuinely do well on their tests. My boss who is a liberal from Harvard looks over everything I do and has continuously gave me high remarks. Plus my contract depends on how students like me and I get the highest marks in my department out of the teaching assistants for dedication to students. It also depends on the full professors opinion of me, which luckily my boss really likes me because I compliment him in teaching, I also have to work thrice as hard but it is possible to be something other than a leftist and teach at the univeristy level. Maybe I can one day become a professor.

I know what it is like to work in a professional environment where you're at odds with everyone because you're... different? But it feels sooooooo good when you do soooooo good, and is reflected by senior management. Because you know it pissssses them off! And the wicked grin you give, without saying a word. Making that eye contact that could light the redwoods ablaze. That is victory.
Yes I have had that happen before and it was terrifying and I am also a white dude, I am not afraid to admit I am terrified of cops, they can kill you and make it look like you deserved it, the vast majority of times all they have to fear is paid vacation. The police unions ensure this. So anytime I have an interaction with a cop I am thinking play it cool this guy can kill you and getaway with it and if you try to resist the media will make you look like an asshole criminal. This can happen irregardless of race in fact I would argue that if you are a minority that you have a greater chance of being rescued by the media intending to craft a racial story.
