  1. This comment is pure comedy gold coming from a communist!!! I mean seriously you thought that would be a good come back?!

Hi Murray! I read one of you books "The Case Against the Fed". It was very interdasting.  I think you're dead, though. I listened to an audiobook by Mises - Human Action - but I was too fucked up most of the time back then to figure out wtf he was talking about.

Anyway, the Cato Inst. has a great library with lots of great papers & videos & books. And don't be stinkin up the place ya fucking zombie.

Read Man Economy and State God says its his favorite book, So does Karl Marx who now admits that he was sniffing paint when he came up with Marxism. He's really a nice guy now that he's dead.

    In seriousness.
Also I will be James2912 again come December 28th. its when I get to change my name back. I now believe that I am unworthy to use the name of the greatest political philosopher and economist that ever lived as my forum alias.

Whether or not you disagree with Communism you can't honestly claim it's merely theoretical, unlike "anarcho"-capitalism which has no praxis whatsoever; it literally can't be tested.

  5. I can honestly say that I'm not in complete alignment with any economic theory. i steal from all of them - some more than others. And I change my mind a lot, too. I envy people who can go blissfully down one particular avenue with total assurance that their path will always lead to the best outcome, no matter what condition arise.

    oh, memes...

Pro Tip: Nothing in economics can be tested, only modeled.

  7. That's right. Economic theory cannot be tested. Its not science.

That's why the best thing to do is follow the laws of supply and demand. As opposed to central planning.

I agree with your posts, but economics cannot be tested? Woot?

  9. Yuri you know I love you but your right and your wrong, everytime socialism or communism has been tested by a country it has resulted in mass poverty and despair. everytime capitalism has been adopted even if its heavily regulated state capitalism it results in massive increases in wealth and standard of living for all.

one of the socialist professors  and they are literally a dime a dozen I work with at my university will even admit as much that capitalism is the greatest wealth creation economic system that has ever been known. He just thinks "true socialism" would be fairer and  more just.

  10. To me, it seems that the massive increases in wealth and standards of living are from taking advantage of under developed countries and preventing their expansion by only paying them enough to barely feed them selves. Example: Leading clothing brands utilizing sweat shops, damn near everything out of china...etc..

Rather than the capitalism system and corporate structure being highly superior and efficient. Really the problem is with the people at the top, they're the ones warping whichever system they have in a way which will keep them or associates in power. And us everyday folk not thinking about where our goods come from.

    Supply and demand right?
Btw this is how we win, save the world, etc.
We have the power, money, don't give it to fat, greedy *unts, who will spend it on suits, cars, champagne, whore, blow, the list goes on...
Buy solar panels, be conscious of power usage, collect rain water, grow. And grow up.

  11. This is true. I've never seen a good comeback to this other than "people in China are better off in sweatshops than they were before" which is true

But yea. Part of the reason we have such a great standard of living is because we outsource our.labor and production to places that don't have good standards of living.

  12. . Will you consider bringing back your old alien avatar- if only for nostalgia's sake :)

  13. I will problem is the original picture was on a computer that crashed, so I have to find it on the internet. If anyone finds it let me know

  14. Oh I'm not totally self assured once in while I give myself a little logic test and think, am I promoting self ownership and individual liberty? There are numerous issues that I constantly seesaw on, is fractional reserve banking moral, is intellectual property moral, miniarchist vs full anarchism, is there some sort of nwo conspiracy or are various international forces naturally pushing people in a certain direction, does god exist and many other issues, I think if anybody is 100% sure of himself he's either an enlightened genius or a sociopath, and most likely the latter. One thing I am sure of though is as a society we should minimize violence and if you believe that you must believe in minimal government because government is really just the collective coming together to violently impose their will on the individual. Every law has a gun behind it. So lets minimize the guns we pull on each other.
