Question about e-cig tincture

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by DutchX5, Aug 17, 2011.

  1. I read the tutorials on here but I'm wondering about one thing. In the tutorials (by WildWill and BadKittySmiles) from what I remember you basically need the product (bud or hash), some VG and some alcohol to thin it out for use in an e-cig.

Now my question is, what if I were to just buy zero nicotine smoke juice? That's basically just VG and flavoring, so if I just boiled that with hash/bud and a splash of 151 rum, would that work?

It just sort of eliminates the extra step of buying both VG and flavoring. And the brand I'm looking at (Johnson Creek) has some good looking flavors.

  2. Flavored and ready-to-use liquids have already been watered down, to facilitate easier dispensing and vaping. When diluted your glycerin is not as effective a 'solvent'. Prolonged exposure to heat, prior to vaping, will also degrade the flavoring. This is why store bought and DIY liquids are flavored after any processing.

According to members of the e cig forums, some of the best supplies are those who only mix their flavors, as they are ordered by customers, just prior to shipping, for optimal taste.

    Hope this helps :)

  3. Hey, thanks for the reply. So you're saying if I heated up the smoke juice, it would spoil the flavor?

Like if I got some smoke juice, poured it into a crock pot with some hash, and let it simmer overnight, would that work in my e-cig? Or would it just taste bad and not work at all.

It just seems so convenient to just combine a bottle of smoke juice with some hash (and heat it).

  4. I use an ejoint which is a medical marijuana ecig and it is awesome. I highly advise you to purchase one if you're a mmj patient.

  5. Alright I think I'm just gonna mix the VG + hash rather than buy pre-made stuff. I found a few places to buy flavoring from (candy oil, that'll work right?)

    Also, a few questions...

    1. I won't be using bud at all, just simmering concentrates with the VG. Would normal hash, or hash oil work better?

    2. Will I need alcohol to thin out the mixture for use in the e-cig?

    3. This is a stupid question, but I've never made something like this before so I have to ask. Do different strains of weed still give different effects? For example if I made the mix with a sativa strain of hash, would I still get a sativa buzz? And if I used an indica strain of hash, I'd still get indica effects?

  6. Did your method work Cannabis Connoisseur I wanna get high now taste my weed I care less if it taste good or bad. SO did it work for you? Cause noone even answered the dam question.

  7. To calrify I define work as in the thc traveld from the weed to the ejuice therefor the thc turned into a vapable liquid and the thc travels properly. UNLESS its wasting my weed. If I can get higher without doing this then I am not going to do it!
