    It was a question

  4. I've rode the auto-train, metro north, and several commuter rails between Connecticut and New York many times. They've never patted me down or scanned me or anything. Hell, even the auto-train, which is a massive overnight train, doesn't search you. You just walk up to the counter, buy a ticket, have them look at your car and then you walk onto the train with your bags.

Yes, you can bring weed and smoke it. There's a smoking room on one of the lounge cars, and there's no "police" or anything down there and it's an enclosed room. Also, it's not too popular, so its a great place to smoke and not get in trouble.
