Need Advice Making Weed Eggs

  1. Hey blades top of the morning :smoke:

    I have about 1.2 grams of dank stems / bud mixture and am planning to make some incredible edible treats this morning.

    Since this is my first time making an edible, any wisdom thrown my way is greatly appreciated!

    (I will be using a Kenmore outdoor grill with a fry pan to make this btw)

    Here's the plan:

    1) Heat up the pan to about medium heat, melt 1/4 stick butter in pan

    2) Add weed, simmer on a relatively moderate temperature for about 10 minutes until the butter changes colour and the bud turns brown.

    3) Without removing any plant material, crank up the heat a bit and,
    Add 1 egg with cheese and whip up some scrambled eggs like usual.

    Is there anything that I should know specifically to increase stoneyness?
    It just almost seems too simple!

  2. Its gonna take alot longer than 10 minutes. It will taste like shit. You might choke on a stem and, i dont think a 1.2 of stem's is enough for you to feel anything because you cant make edibles with just a gram and that gram deff has more THC than a gram of stems.

  3. damnnn, okay so how do I fix this problem?

    I added more bud now I have about 1 gram dank 1 gram stems.

    How long should I cook it for in the butter?

    I'm just looking for a stovetop method, any other recipes you recommend?
     
  4. well that might do it but i would recommend straining out the plant matter it's not going to get you any higher and it will bring the flavor down. So get a saucepan dump your butter put your weed in (only use enough butter to slightly cover the weed) and put on low heat stirring every couple of minutes until the butter is almost a black color, could be a half and hour could be 3 hours it depends on the amount of weed and butter. then simply strain use and enjoy!

  6. Do you know anything about decarboxylation because I just tried to decarb my bud and only had it in the microwave for 15 second before the nug started to burn!!
     
  7. dont use butter. use some olive oil and follow your original recipe. it will work
     
  8. Dont use olive oil its expensive and will make it taste even worse. if you are going to use oil then just use vegitable oil. and i have never heard of putting herb in the microwave.
     
  9. the fat content in veg oil is far less than olive oil. And no it will not taste like shit. Have u ever done this? Probably not. I have it works, tastes fine. Although I'd recommend straining the plant matter as was said.

False. i have never done it because its a terrible idea, and if you were looking for a higher fat content then why would you even bother saying olive oil when i said butter. i work in a kitchen and the fat content between the two is fucking miniscule, its just the taste. and how about you do some research before you just tell him your opinion as fact.

    because with butter its farrr easier to burn and in turn ruin... Nothing wrong with butter, oil is just easier. And the facts? tell me ANYTHING I said that was false. And sweet you work in a mcdonalds kitchen, maybe even an applebee's. I have made so many edibles its not even funny. I dont need to work in a kitchen to know what works.

    EDIT: and seeing how you haven't done this, and I have. And I can vouch for its effectiveness; you should just drop it, and maybe go make this. Might chill u out a bit

Mickey D's ? try a 20 dollar a plate seafood restaurant. and you said to use olive oil because it has a higher fat content? i don't think so iv'e seen olive oil with a higher fat content than vegetable oil but iv'e alson seen vegetable oil with a higher fat content so what im trying to tell your dumbass is that its only a taste difference. thats it taste and the taste of pure olive oil is so fucking unbearable that it doesnt make sense to use it. and your edibles must suck!

    I ended up going the easy route,
    Put the buds in a little muffin tray, covered with extra virgin olive oil and then covered tray in tin foil.
    It's in the oven right now at 330* F, only 8 minutes left to go :]]]
     
  14. I love when people get mad. Your taking shots now. Telling me my edibles suck... OP do what ever you want, I'm telling you that I have made it with olive oil, and it tasted great. Slightly "green" and earthy, but not very noticable.

    And if the fat content is a difference of about 10%... Which although minor, will make a difference. And the saturated fat, which you want, olive oil has more.

    As far as I can see your some kid talking big on the internet who doesn't really know what he's talking about. Everything you have said has been based off the taste of olive oil. So OP if you dont like olive oil, don't use it; and use butter. Just trying to make it easier.

  16. Took it out of the oven and strained out the bud from the oil, drank it all down in a shot and chased it with some pizza haha I'll update later when it starts to kick in :]
    PS doesn't taste that bad IMO!

  18. Worked very well, about 1.5 hours into it I was stoned and that didn't go away until 6 hours later, I'll use more bud next time (tomorrow :hello:) though I just wanted to get rid of old stems
     
  19. That's more than enough for an edible. Go visit the easiest single serve thread bake some quick oil and chuck it in a tasty bowl of ice-cream.
