My hash isn't working, tips and suggestions?

So I recently purchased a gram of hashish for the very first time, and it isn't working at all. I haven't been smoking bud the past couple days, just this hash. I've probably used about .4 of the gram and it is not getting me high. I've rolled pinches into small pebbles and put them in metal pipes WITH screens. I've tried hovering the flame above the hash, and smoking it straight on. I have never smoked hash until now but I regularly smoke chronic, so its really confusing my what i'm doing wrong here, or why the hash isn't getting me high. I did not make this hash, but my guy I purchased it from said smoking small amounts have been getting him ripped. And he has a very large tolerance as well. I've watched many youtube vids to try and figure this out, but its not working for me. I'm getting smoke, but hardly even getting a buzz at all. If anyone could help me or give some tips that would be great, this was expensive (half of what i pay for an eighth of chronic) and I don't want to waste anymore of it not getting high.

Have you tried putting a little bit of bud in a bowl, then putting hte hash on top? I usually do that and get baked!

I haven't tried that yet. I need to get some more bud and try that. But straight hash isn't doing it for me. Anyone else ever try straight hash and not get high?

For me I just flatten a small amount of hash, put it in the bowl. Slowly inhale while hovering the flame over the hash and you will see it starting to melt, thats when u stop when it melts to much. You may inhale some vapor than you let it cool off a little bit and harden. Than just hit it like normal just inhale slowly/softly and you should get decent hits, never failed me and I made a gram last me a week smoking everyday.

Thanks. Thats pretty much what i've been doing. Maybe i should try it even slower. I'm just afraid to waste anymore of it..

I've been trying as carefully as i can with metal pipes. It just feels like getting some resin hits. It doesnt really melt for me, just cherries, and burns the more you suck/light.

Damn I don't know what to tell you maybe it's different with pipes, I just have a normal glass spoon pipe, maybe the metal is to hot when u light it that the hash cherries to fast?

I guess that might be possible. I could try it in a glass spoon bowl probably. Its one of those metal zippo stealth pipes if anyones tired that...

okay well describe it to us in more detail... what does the smoke taste like? what does the hash smell like raw, and what does it smell like when smoking it?

When it's producing smoke, you should hear a sizzle from the bowl. If you don't hear that sizzle, then you either have shit hash or your not lighting it enough.

Its sizzled just about everytime i've tried..

Tastes alot like resin, but also different. its a really strange taste. Its a nasty taste though. The smoke doesn't smell that great either. Raw it kinda smells like spices (not the designer drugs) and sweat. Its a very dark brown light blackish color. Kinda looks like dog shit cause its chunky and you can see different textures and a little bit of it guess ground plant materials. You can squeeze and shape chunks of it, but its alot more stable and clumped then something like silly putty. I dont really know much about different types of hashish or how this was made. Other than that my connect knows the guy who makes it and its not from a despensary. He told me it was made from 3 different kinds of funk 60 bud and just a little bit is getting him ripped. I hope this can help you guys help me

Hash gets me baked errtime, how is it not working, hash smoke expands like crazy so a little hit will still be big, hold it in. Good luck and dont get that hash anymore it might be resin:) dam i need to hit up my bro u got me cravin hash toppers.

The most I can go through in a week is a quarter of chronic, and thats a DAMNNNN GOOD week haha. So I don't think its my tolerance. But i'm getting smoke, its just not getting me high. But im not fuckin with this guys hash anymore if this shit don't work. 30 dollar Gs of hash i dont want bullshit

yea it really sounds like either some total bullshit ISOHash or he just scraped a bunch of his pieces and bagged it up. most hash has a very earthy taste and smell in my experience, and you get lung expansion like crazy from the smallest hits.
