Getting my first car

  1. Posted this in cars but no one ever looks there lol.

Alright so I don't know very much about cars, just what I read from different sites like topspeed, edmunds, cars, etc so I figured I'd ask GC. I'm not entire sure what I want for my first car. My only real guidelines are it has to be under 22k and has to have good fuel efficiency. But I want something that drives smoothly, easy to control and turn. The few cars I'm thinking of are:

    All 2011 or 2012.
    - Honda Civic Sedan
    - Honda Insight
    - Ford Focus
    - Ford Fiesta
    - Toyota Prius
    - Mazda3
    - Hyundai Elentra

I may be able to get my moms BMW (believe it's a 335i Sedan) but that may not happen because their worried about me getting pulled over by cops all the time.
Which car do you think I should go for? Any suggestions that I havn't named?

    Thanks GC [IMG]

    Not at all

  6. I vote Ford Focus, then either the Honda or Mazda but that's just me. Take your time, test drive them.

Just bought a new car, and after I test drove certain cars that magazines/tv shows loved they just weren't for me. Can't put it into words, just have to drive it yourself and feel it.

  7. Get the new Civic Si Sedan, that car is doooope

  8. BMW. German Engineering. I have a 330i and don't get pulled over??

  9. Well how old are you? I mean both my parents drive BMW's (my dad an x3) but they think since I'm young cops will automatically wanna pull me over for anything if I'm driving a 40 thousand dollar car.

I definitely gotta go test driving though agree with whoever said that.

  10. Get a '02 civic if your not going to spend 10 grand on yoru first car.
