Wayne is a beast IMO. His old stuff went really hard, and he's still got some of it despite going mainstream. The main reason I like his music though is the beats. A few songs have some great beats when medicated. The man makes some good money too. Not saying he's the richest, but he gets a good share of bread. No flaming! Lil Wayne is just one BIG metaphor. It's nice when I was like, 13, it sounded pretty cool. But it gets so boring just hearing cool metaphors. I much prefer Wiz's beats, lyrics, hooks, everything about him is just better than Wayne.
I remember back in the day hearing Fireman from Lil Wayne and that was like all i heard from him, but thought it was pretty nice. I got into some of his music soon after, but it seems like so long ago. Now it's like he's a different person, even the style and shit is different. I respect him for doing his thing, but in reality he had it good because of Birdman, if it wasn't for him promoting Wayne he would probably be nada.
