  1. Hey Im looking to start a outdoor grow soon :)
I was wondering what your average yield on an outdoor plant is?
Also how far do you "hike" off road with water?
I want to start like 6 -10 seeds and water once a week
Ive been told / read that you can get close to a LB with ease as long as you dig at least a 3' x 3' hole

I dont have any lakes or creeks near me so having to to walk the water to my plants is my main problem :/
    I cant carry 6 - 20 gallons by myself...

  2. Thats exactly what I'm lookin to do Deac, that was the whole point of starting this thread, to get the right growers with the right kinda knowledge :D I'll be stopping by in just a few to show ya what I'm smokin' tonight ;) Thats what I'm starting to hear so it looks like on the next run, which is starting to look like it'll be my 2 Sharksbreath by DNA, will go in some Smart Pots, Thanks a bunch brotha! :smoke:

Do it man, I love gardening outside, something about it is so peaceful and really makes you feel old school :p
Unfortunately, I can not give you and average yield seeing this is my first ever attempt outdoors  Wish I could help, I'm hoping for about a pound per plant, and I roughly dug a 7 gallon or so hole, but the root system should be able to get past the hole that I dug.
The "hike" also depends, all the plants are on the same "property" but 2 of the plants have streams not but 50 yards or so away. Unfortunately the other 2 end up having their water hiked about a mile to a mile and half to them, it sucks but I do what I gotta do for my ladies :cool:
I understand the problem of not being able to haul a lot of water over long distances, if they go relatively a week with no rain, then they get around 2 gallons of water a piece. Seeing you have no water source around then see about devising something up where you could fill water into something and then backpack it? Otherwise the only other thing I can think of is if you could somehow maybe set up something to catch rain water out by your plots and have it fill a 5 gallon container or something like that? Then you would be able to drastically shorten your "hike" time with water? Sorry, I feel like thats a very bland answer, but I hope I could help :D

Indoor update will be up in a few guys,

  3. Well here we are, Day 54, just 2 days before the girls go into their 48 hour dark period. They got just a gallon of water a piece last night to help them dry a bit before chop (A mistake that I made last time, flushing 2 days before chop = poor decision :p) They've been on just water for 5 days now to help dissolve and flush out any possible salts and you can really see them sucking up the last of the nutrients, I am dropping leaves like crazy! I am about 85% milky and about 10-15% amber and thats right where I'd like to be.
    On to the pictures! :D

The room o' dank (or so I hope ;))

  4. Haha you were right my friend, but hey, you were a true OG to this journal and for that, I thank you :D
I know, I'm pretty lucky to not have to haul water too far
Stick around bro, the indoor part is gonna get a wholeee lot more fun this weekend ;)

  5. I was just lucky to stumble upon it my friend. I know for a fact my plants didn't look that good on my second run. You have quite the greenthumb no doubt. And I can't express how lucky you are to not have to haul water like a mule. About 4 or 5 trips with a backpack and hands full and its not even August yet. Fuck...

  6. Little red wagon!!!!! Get one son! haha just kidding, that's not very stealth. I grow outside as well, I have to haul water 5 feet and I'm exhausted myself. My hands cramp up. Dude miles? NFW I'd do that shit, you sir are hardcore and more!

  7. Well its still good to have you around bro :hello: And as always, thank man. :D Damn man that sucks! When I went out the other day, I thought I was gonna die, like you said, full backpack and 2 gallons in each hand in 105+ heat...heat stroke at my last plot was nice :p haha
Hopefully you can figure something out to lessen your load :smoke:

  8. Decided to throw up a smoke report on that Fast Neville Haze that I did on my first run for anyone that's interested in it.
If you wanna check it out, its here..

  9. Hey bro too bad I missed the indoor grow but after reading your thread youll have no problem fitting right in. Your a natural. Shit looks way good. What's your plans next run? Soil or hydro? Glad i found this thread. Keep doing what your doing my friend. ::bongin::

  10. Hahahaha, miles? Hell no.. I would have to set up a tarp to gather rain if I had to go that far and I have before. I'm really contemplating it now. Hauling water's really turning into a pain in the ass because I have to climb up a steep hill with the water. We will see how motivated I am once I get out their I guess. :p

  11. Damn bro you got some fine looking girls there.

  12. Come on dude, go with my exaggeration, people that would have read it would have been like, holy shit allsmiles is a badass and Doc is a puss. I set you up for legendary status! LOL.

I do have a steep hill too from my creek to my grow which is 5 feet. Yesterday I biffed it pretty bad with my flip flops on because the banks were mud. I had rotator cuff surgery going on 6 weeks ago so catching myself wasn't an option. Just sort of a planned in the moment fall onto my good shoulder while trying to keep my head from hitting the ground. Hahah. I'm glad nobody was filming.

  13. Haha its quite alright, stay tuned because tonight you'll get the update on my first harvested girl and the start of my new beans :D Also, thank you for the compliments good sir :)
This next run is going to my 2 Sharksbreath, and I can't decide if I'm going to throw another bean of something in as well...and the next run will be in soil again, but I'm coming out of FFOF and am going to try Sunshine's Pro Mix 4, and also, I plan to hang my rigged 250w light, and try making more "tea's" for my plants, other than that, most things are staying the same, I think? :p
Glad to have you along for the ride man! :smoke:

Sounds like that tarp is really a good idea for you... :p

Thanks bro! :D Stick around, harvest update tonight and the next grow is well on its way :devious:

Haha you had it alllll set up for him, what a fool..I kid, I kid :p
Sounds like you pulled a real smooth move out there Doc! Hope the shoulder's alright, having torn the same rotator cuff twice now and not having it repaired either time, I can understand the pain..
Good thing you got some indica lyin around ;)

  14. I figured this song was suited for just about every person in this journal and I don't mind jammin' to it while I hit up these scissor hash balls from last night :p

    Happy Growin' guys :smoke:

  17. Ahhhhhh fuck!!! I missed that one big time... maybe ill have my shot at legendary status again someday... Either way ill be happy with whats coming out of my garden this year. :D That is if all turns well. Still have several months to go but we shall see..

And it sound like you saved yourself from another surgery man. I fucked my shoulder playing college lacrosse but never had to get surgery. That shit hurts, the worst part for me was trying to fall asleep with it. And i know the feeling of being goofy in the woods. I usually smoke a spliff on my way to my spot and sometimes i'm floppy around like a dying fish out their tripping over shit. :eek:Hahaha. I feel like the plants around are my audience giving me applause.:hello:
