DWC/custom box/Dinafem Blue Hash Fem + 2 strains

Hi again fellow GCrs

This is my third attempt, you can see how my fist 2 failed in my sig (1 seedling died, 2 male plant) Anyway I had everything pretty much set up only I'm using another grow box now that is currently a work in progress. I need to do the passive intake, install a vortex fan, and doors.

I have germinaing right now

2 Nirvana NL reg
2 Ice bagseed
2 Kush bagseed
1 Big Bud bagseed

The first two that successfully germinate are going to the box.

Already planted the Blue Hash, and successfully sprouted. It is strange that it only came out with one baby leave, and the first set of leave.



The roots just touched the water so I guess is quick growth from now on. :smoke:

Update. 1st week

My nirvana NL seems slow. Ice (left) is growing pretty fast, has more roots than the other two and is a bagseed. Next update should show some interesting progress.

Haven't done any upgrade to the box, i will work on it very soon.

Gonna keep an eye on this. Growing blue hash this winter. Keeping grow room at 63° thru flower to bring out the color.

Not even close on temp. My avg temp is 81, I had no idea about cooler temp more color. My bh was a UFO from attitude.

Yup that 63 is night temp. Will be 76 or so during lights on. Cooler temps during dark period will turn the purple strains that nice color. There's an additive that will draw the color too but I can't remember the name for the life of me. Ill pick some up if someone names it though. I want some lavender buds if I can get them. Wont make it smoke better but I haven't seen any like that in my area.

I'm subbed dude. We are right along with each other on a couple of my seeds. It will be interesting to see what happens with both of our grows. Its my first ever, and I'm really hoping to be able to get all the way through it! Good luck to you in your third endeavor!

I am havin trouble with the light schedule. The lights have gone out a couple of time. They still get 18/6 but not at the same hour of the day. Will that affect my plants?

There's always the possibility of stressing them to hermie. If you have a bad timer they're like $10 for an analog timer at home depot. Well worth having an extra timer collecting dust for these issues.

It os not the timer. The electricity company sucks and with two or three drops of rain the power goes out. I will need like a battery back up but sometime the power failure may last two or three hours. I am a little concerned because now is hurricane season and it is going to get worse and probably happen more frequently.

Sorry did you meant that analog timer are better for when power failure occurs?

I just assumed it was a timer issue as normal. My aunt has those issues. If there is a cloud in the sky she loses power. If your lights are on in the day you could put them under sunlight during outages.

I hope I don't get a hermie. This is my third try I want to finally nail it.

Did dome minor changes to the box, I am really having issue with temp, I don't want to turn the ac on because the elec bill is killing me. Hope it gets better now. Now I have 3 5g bucket, transplanted in bigger pots, and change the light and fan set up.

Found a small green worm and the fucker was eating random leave in two plant. It did not did to much damage.

Topped the blue hash, which is pretty big and only is 3 days ahead. Mild
Veg LF dose.

Some changes to the light layout. Still haven't done the passive intakes.

Suggestion needed

I'm thinking doing four 2 1/2" holes. I never found the 4" Hole saw so I'm going with the one I have. That should be enough for the box right?? 6' x 4' x 2'

Just taking care of them. Finally bought the inline fan 400 cfm. Waiting to Find a good deal on hps light system. Until then more veggin. Two of them are really skinny probably they won't go to flower with the hash. Perhaps I can keep trimmin her for better result. What do you guys think?

How much space do you have? You could lollipop them, (remove the lower third or so of branches) to reduce popcorn buds and allow the plant to focus the energy up top. Might be a good idea...those girls are craving hps and are gonna stretch 2-3 times their height. Seems like people are against topping lately. But it seems i've heard blueberry responds well to it. You could top em', order the light, flip em to 12/12 when it arrives, set up your exhaust to get your temps down and be good to go.

I had just seen enough beautiful blue hash, I'm germinating my free seed now. Looking forward seeing you succeed.

I have 4' x 2' x 6'. I found on eBay a 1k watts hps cool tube reflector, it will go perfect on my space. It already shipped just anxiously waiting for it with the exhaust.

I didn't know about lollypoppin I will do more research on that. Thanks for your suggestion. I appreciate your input a lot.

1000w is great if you can cool it. Maybe consider a 600w though in that space.

great grow love dwc systems seems to work really good one plant is extra bushy looks great other plants might have a slower growth rate i understand its difficult since ur using recirc so you could veg longer to allow others to catch up or flower sooner and scrog smaller plants
