Ok so I am growing bagseed, 11 seeds from one amazing nug, that was still an amazing smoke even with those seeds in it...ANYWAY, I thought a hermaphrodite was a definite possibility because no grower wants seedy weed, and that one nug was the only one in a quarter that had any seeds. Now I have seen some changing color of the hairs, only mostly on lower down growth, but for the last few days I have been seeing what look kind of like the little balls I saw on my males. They have hairs coming out, which is why I havent been that worried, but they are really looking bulbous and they are really small, almost like male preflowers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Lookin pretty good for only 46 days total grow time. 25 days veg, 21 flower right now. buds look great, don't stress. it's cool you are examining your plants, and most likely if youer growin bagseed theres a greater chance you'll get a herm out here and there. you can still harvest some dank herm buds if it starts herming at the end of the flower - just don't have your fans on the plants so it isnt blowing pollen around and pull the little banana pollens off when they appear without breaking them open. you will know for sure if it is a hermie if you pick the banana (AKA pods, ball sack, etc) off and crumple it some pollen should fall out like dust. OR if the same area of the plant continues herming and its an expendable lower branch just cut it off. it wont fix the problem but it will get rid of that branch. The reason your seeing herms may also because your lights are not close enough or bright enough. mary jane requires high levels of light. or you might be stressing them in some other way-- is the room absolutely light proof? are they getting a full 12 hours of darkness?
you're at the right exact time to use some guano tea or some sort of bloom enhancer. I repeat my self to no end on that matter but I recieved such better results after starting to use them, as well as the technique of letting plants dry out to the point they are about to die and they explode with trichs, just in time for you to save them with a watering
So you think I should starve them of water already, or are you talking at the very end right before harvest? I just started using Bloom Enhancer yesterday. We will see
Got some new pics and a couple of questions for anyone listening. The last two pics are of fan leaves that look sick. One has some spots the other just some curling, I think it is probably nute burn, but the smallest plant I have has had those spots for weeks. Any ideas what is up? Otherwise I am super happy with how things are progressing. I try not to touch them, but today I gently squeezed the biggest top cola and HOLY SHIT my hand smelled like heaven. I can only hope they smell that good after harvest. Right now they are day 25 since 12/12. They showed pistils the day after 12/12, so they are at pretty much day 25 either way. Can anyone help me on figuring out what the deal is with those two pics of the leaves above? I noticed some tiny little flies in there, like fruit flies, but they seem to be gone for like a week now.
The little fruit flies aren't a problem unless you have a massive infestation. They don't do anything to the plants they go in the soil, I just press down the soil around the edges of the pot so they cant get in the soil... and the little tan looking spots on the leafs is most likely from some sort of liquid getting on the leafs. Nothin' to worry about, and the other leafs where you see it on the tips and on the edges, I honestly don't know what that is, shouldn't be a problem though they look healthy.. Lookin' good though should be a nice harvest..
Check it out! How long til harvest you guys think? Tested out some of the bud, 4 lil nugs from the bottom, two from each of the more mature plants. AMAZING. So high just from a little microwave dry. Cant wait to harvest and cure this shit! Any and all advice is GREATLY appreciated since this is my first time and I dont know shit
Well after some serious debate, and my first simple grow going really well, I have decided to go big. I have decided on the tent, the light, and I think the fans, I just want some advice on 1) What I have already chosen, and 2) What else I need to make this tent perfect. Right now I have 14 23W 2700k CFLs going. I am planning on going to 2 1000W lights in a 10x10 tent. Think that will be perfect. Not overkill right?

Its is an adictive hobby. Do you mind if I give a little advice?? I get that you want to go big...we all do...lol sometimes it is better to get a few grows out of the way before going as big as you intend. 10 x 10 can fit a shitload of plants...and trustme.. it is difficult to grow multiple plants especially if they are different strains...that being said....you rocked your first grow...so what do I know
