so i have an idea for an aeroponics setup using 2x 30gal totes. i am currently using the totes for my DWC/ aeroponic highbryd. since the totes with the water in them is somewhat frustrating since the roots have grown together and the aeroponic " spraying rig has been entangled . making it impossible to clean out the tub between water changes. i understand that this method is not true areoponics and im trying to upgrade the system so that it will allow for easy water changes and more effective oxygenation to the root system. i will probably be running the sprayers on 24/7 untill i can afford a timer that has 5 min on 2 min off or if there are more suggestions . i have a variety of vegatbles peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers and 2 clones sensi star and purple kush! all under 600 watt HPS. self built pvc, panda plastic grow tent light proffed the zippers with more panda film and velcro this is an idea i came up with based upon the DWC/ aeroponics design thats out there i was baked when i was drawing this up so there might be little errors as far as forgotten lines an such. any questions or comments are appreciated!

just did the light proofing panda strips over the doors today and switched to 12/12 yesterday... tomorrow i will post a video showing my garden's full set up.

Based on your design, you have are setting up a low pressure system. The real game is played when you morph that into a TRUE HPA system
im still a noob at this whole hydro thing.... by low pressure system you mean what? would i need a bigger pump to run that much water line from the rez / spray heads? and if you guys were wondering i have no PPM, EC, or water temp meter. but im guessing im ok with water temp since i havent had any problems with my plants. i feel very lucky to have made it thus far with such little problems. my totes were originally going to have 11 sites each but after filling all of them i soon realized i was going to have a jungle and so i have scaled back and pulled za few of the more non productive plants. also when i get some funds i would like to get some supplies to make a cloner and clone the tomatoes so i have healthy mature starts so i can have small but productive tomato plants. as well as clone some weed too, cant forget about the girls!
UPDATE: tomatoes are getting bigger and i bend my purple kush last night and today you can tell she's loving all the light to her lower parts some pics for viewing pleasure first pic is of me peering into the brush looking for flowers on my veggies from before the HPS with the T8s . second is another shot of the garden today. third is PK from the side, and fourth is PK from the top are they lookin healthy or what! p.s. PK i think got stunted cause she had very slow to no root growth for the first week or so unlike the sensi star which exploded out of the netpot after 3 days but the PK is catching up. they are in flower so i can get my aeroponics set up started and ditch the spraying rig i have now. plus im gonna be doing one tote MJ and the other tote various veggies changing when ever i feel like
Update. so Saturday morning my HPS lamp that came with my light set burnt out and I woke up to a dark grow room i didnt expect much from that lamp considering the kit came from Ebay.so I threw in the MH that came with the kit. I had work all weekend so today I got around to the hydro shop. picked up a hortilux eye 600watt enhanced spectrum HPS purple kush is small and already showin good budsite growth in only a week.the sensi has gotten alot taller and I've been trimming fan leaves to allow good light for the purp, I also moved the purp to the other tote and sadly felt the need to remove the cucumbers since they were over flowing th space and next time I try them they will have the comfort of the back wall where they will be vertically trellised. I was really looking forward to the lemon cucumbers but I think I'm looking forward to the herbals a little more! I'll snap pics in the morning
nice shots of the growth, now on week 2 flower. oh and does any one have and negative views on using 2X 9 gal styrofoam coolers as a res will it affect the nutes? i would obviously light proof them
Styrofoam... hmmmmmm.. idk.. i think it would be susceptable to problems in the long run. Im not sure though. awesome grow by the way. they look like they are loving the mister/sprayer...Lookin great!! im at 2 1/2 weeks flower also..
thanks Manic MC, yea I feel really grateful to the city cause when I was in AZ in 08' I ventured on here to seek knowledge! and I sure found it! I did the old stealth two 50gallon rubbermaid tote's stacked and hollowed for a cfl micro grow from bag-seed 12 seedlings weeded down to one girl she yielded about half ounce I was happy it was my first grow and it's been a few years since then... i moved back home to cali, I just got my own place, I got my medical recommendation.... had to get growing again. this time i wanted to see what the newest techs are for growing and it seems like aero is the newst so i thought it would be a fun and a great learning exp. I'm loving that I was able to produce the tomatoes this far but there just so damn big well that's for now night GC gotta get my smoke on before bed so that face melts into the pillow
so after thinking about it a bit and doing a little research online i think for my rez im going to go with a 30 gallon bonticare but i dont have the funds currently so adjustments to the system are not in the picture... speaking of pictures, i'll be taking some early flowering pics when my gf gets off work her camera is much better than the one i use

thanks manic MC im really looking forward to my august harvest. im not sure how much the purp will produce being that she is very short... maybey only 8 or so in tall from bottem stem to highest branch but i have her laid over almost all the way the main stalk has tons of budlets all over it! i'll have to take a pic with a size refrencemaybe with a pen or lighter... all i have are mini lighters
