  1. thanks for stoppin by merdoc this grow deffinatly goes week to week. but its by far my favorite hobby. i cant wait to get the upgrades done but that involves waiting for this harvest, im patient though since i've grown psilocybin mushrooms and that is another cultivating hobby.

week 4 update today is 26th day into flower a few days ago i was bending the SS to maximize light for the lower branches and i learned something... use two hands so you dont crack the base of the branch from the stalk! oops newb mistake and one that i should have known better ... my GF always tells me not to touch them and to just leave them alone. lol so yea i dunno if that branch will fully heal or not or it might herm the plant :/

i was thinking of getting something to add to my nutes but i dont really know what to go with? any suggestions? keep in mind that im currently using a little less than a teaspoon of GH nova bloom per gallon of water.
    the
well we'll see here are some pics take from the tent today
pic 1 is of the snap!(i'll take a better pic tomorrow)
pic 2 is a sensi star shot but do you guys see the tips of the leaves pointing down what is that from is it a def. they are also yellow at the tips just a few though ?(note: picture 2 is the branch that had been snapped at the stem)
pic 3 is more of the SS
pic 4 and 5 are of the purple kush

  2. I'm not a big areo guy but the yellowing tip are they on just the main water leafs or all the leafs if all then it could be a dif and just a fyi if they are up the nutes just a little and what other nutes r u running if any. But I do have to say they look very taste

  3. This is awesome man, always interested in any kind of DIY aero/hydro grow. I'd love to do one myself at some point (especially after i see you harvest this baby!) I'm pullin up a chair and watching this one +rep

PS- love the tomatoes/basil,etc you got in there with it man. great stuff

  4. glad you stopped by blazing saddles, its been such an experience geting this whole thing going and its has for sure been an ever evolving system becuase things are always changing . so far the broken branch has not slowed its growth and is actually one of the larger branches with very rapid bud development.

as far as the yellow tips and my nutes go Merdoc,
im only using the nova bloom one part mix what else can i add or should i purely stick with this nute solution for this grow? the yellow tips are only on the bigger an leaves so im guessing its ok

  5. Ya the bigger leafs will start to get more yellow as you get farther into flower and that's ok you just don't want the suger leafs and the smaller water leafs yellowing tell you about ready to harvest. You prob no that and don't need me telling you sorry I rant some times like that wile I'm high witch is most of the time and for nutes I would stick with just that one if you have problems then I would say you need diff nutes or to up the dose. do you have the hole line up from nova? And if my spelling sucks ever I'm really high and trying to type it all down befor I forget just an fyi

  6. Hey I'm about to start aero, can u provide me with optimal ph and what kind of ec compared to hydro (was considering 40% strength)

  7. hello freshfed i would love to tell you optimal levels of PH and EC but i dont have a metere yet but i would say PH of 5.8- 6.5 and a low EC around .02 but then again i havent used any of these tools just going off of what i have read

  8. :hello:so here's my weekly update. im on day 32 (note pics are from day 31) flower growth is getting pretty rapid. pictures are as follows;

    1. SS branch that was cracked at base
    2.SS close up
    3. SS side show with shade from HPS and flash to show true colors
    4. shade and flashed PK
    5. PK close up

hope you all liked the bud porn:smoke::cool:

  9. Lookin yuuuuummmy and healthy way to keep them

  10. So just to clarify... You are running aeroponics with no ph or Tds/ppm/ec meter? Lol incredible lol

  11. :cool::cool:thx Freshfed

im just as surprised and greatful that i have had such ease with my aeroponic/ DWC venture, but i ran only what the nute directions called for and im using the one part from GH floranova grow/bloom. i think that has lots to do with it too.

if i were using a complicated nute. mix or if i wanted to add any thing for bloom boosters or w/e , i will eventually go to a more complicated nute mix to refine and master hydro but thats much later on.

oh so today... or yesterday... i removed all other plants from my tubs other than my parsley and i also have basil in a pot chillin in there. i am worried about having to have trimmed the root mass and move the SS to the middle hole in the tub. but i had no other choice since every plant was essentially part of the root mass... i will post pics in the morning to give an idea to their condition one day after the trim. i wonder if they will herm.

i have noticed over the last week that the branch that was cracked at the base, all of its new growth since the break has been really broad curled leaves bigger thicker calyxes and lots of resin development(less but bigger calyxes) it seems to have stressed but i dont see it being hermi or male flowers. and the symptoms are only on that branch, the rest of the plant is normal and appears unaffected by the break. .........:p sorry bout the rant.

i know its unadvised but has anyone had experience trimming roos in flower:confused::confused:

so today while i had a day off from work i decided to get my area worked out for my designated herb garden/ clone room. its a 4ft wide 20'' tall and about 12'' deep i have 8 T8's sitting in my closet and im itching to get my next set of strains going but i might wait on the MJ because i will need some time to retrofit and transition to fully aeroponics and tyhe plants are doin just fine after the root trim no noticable damage ;)

also picked up a storage closet for drying since that will be happening soon enough, and also won a 4.4lb max pocket scale on ebay for 10 bucks so i think im pretty much ready lol patients lol

you can see the first pic of the branch top that has the crack stress;)

  14. i know that i have no idea what my nute mix ec ppm and temp is but do they look small for almost 6 weeks? i was thinking they would be flowering 10 or so weeks.. strains are sensi star and purple kush if anyone has exp. with the strains

Maybe a little small do aero in 6wk of flower, but with no control over ec or ph your doing well lol. I've done sensi star before really lime taste on her and she was heavy! Gave her 9wks or so!

  16. some closeup shots at week 6!:ey:

  18. Nice little cloning station

  19. little update here!
week 8 and the ladies are looking fab. my temps are higher than i want them and i picked up a portable AC from a friend 10k BTU and in my little apartment when the room temp gets to about 79 my whole apartment flips the breaker and i have to reset the breaker.... i really want my temps down but wtf do i do... can i wire a second breaker for just my garden? and plug that into the wall or install it myself? maybe that can give my apartments breaker a "break"

  20. If you would, I would really appreciate it. Could you give a rough breakdown of how much the entire rig cost, what the most expensive pieces are and what not?
