bent main stem

  1. I would not worry much about the tape's adhesive being absorbed into the plant. If similar things should happen in the future, though, I'd suggest sort of splinting the stem with a dowel of some sort or even a pencil, and using some of that green plastic staking tape to tie the stem to the splint/stake/pencil. Heck, just putting a stake next to the plant and tying it up to a stake would probably do the trick. I don't have a huge amount of experience with pot plants, but have grown several types of landscaping, vegetable, and houseplants. Good luck!!
