Just wondering what the majority of people do it for, like depression, just for the high, etc.
    For me it's depression.

  2. Deep deep depression.

  3. Out of spite at the Government. jk

  4. To avoid falling back into the world of alcoholism, among other reasons.

  5. I do it for the feeling it gives and to forget about some problems.

  6. Some depression, just for the point of smoking it when i was younger, many pains both mental and physical.

  7. Sometimes if I have a massive migraine I'll smoke just a little.

  8. I rather smoke weed than drink alcohol & it always gives me a appetite to eat :D

  9. I do it mostly just to feel good. To relieve stress. But I also use it to help me sleep, help with some social anxieties I have and mellow me out. I'm a pretty bad insomniac and weed helps me have have a stable sleep schedule. Weed helps me be more social usually, helps me be more friendly, more talkative. I also have a bit of a temper, some anger problems naturally. Weed helps that for me, helps mellow me out, helps me see things from different point of views.
I dont use weed when I'm depressed, but when I'm angry about something I like to smoke a bowl not just to relax me but also to think more clearly, not be rash, or jump to conclusions.
Even when there are times when I dont smoke right away after being mad, at work, social settings, etc. Later on when I smoke it'll help me relax and contimplate things that had pissed me off or raised my temper.

  10. I use it primarily as a depression medication. I cant stand taking any prescription medication because of all the side effects. I can light up maybe once a week and i will have a good week that week. Its just generally helpful with any pains as well.

  11. Dude, if you're smoking pot for depression, that's not any good, even if pot isn't bad for you, you're develpoingnan addicton

  12. Because it's sooo dankerstein

  13. I fell in love with Mary for her ability to help me see things differently, from new perspectives.

But I married her because she helps with my anxiety and insomnia as well.

  14. Lets face it. We all smoke to get high, and only for the high.

I drink when i get depressed, which prolly isnt the best because it makes me more depressed.

  15. I smoke for various reasons but mostly because of my heart problem that the docs can't find.

  16. I had a bong shoved down my throat and was forced to smoke. Never been the same since.

But srsly, when you're smoking good, quality weed--the feeling is unreplaceable. I derive great satisfaction knowing I can drift around high all day and night being sometimes more successful than many people. No, I don't drive a benz but I rent one from time to time.. and no.. I don't make 100K a yr in some salary job.. but yeah. It is what it is, and it is a great thing. :smoke:

  17. Rib, what do you call it when a doctor prescribes a daily dose of Paxil or Welbutrin for depression?

Frankly, I don't see much difference between using pharmaceuticals daily or cannabis daily for depression- except the cannabis is FAR safer, nonaddictive, and you can grow cannabis for pennies!

FYI- my husband is a chronic depressive and the pills make him into a "zombie"! On cannabis he is functional and not depressed. Cannabis is only psychologically addicting- not physically! Should he go back on the addictive pills that don't work to keep him from an NONEXISTENT ADDICTION to cannabis?

  18. Perspective.

It puts a whole new spin on things. I love being able to smoke with like 6 people around a bonfire and unwind and have the coolest conversations. Ahh so good.

It's also just relaxing. It puts me at ease, and it's totally benign, so why not?
