Was playing with Mathematica, and a few of the results got me interested in high res fractal images...so my search began, and found some nifty little apps I could plug in my own formulas...here are some results;

Hell yeah, those are awesome cball!
I absolutely love how those designs are purely mathematical. In fact everything around us can be explained via mathematics in some way or another. Ever see that movie 'Pi'? This reminds me about that.

You should read the OP.
Nice fractals, my man. Reminds me of when I used to work with Cinema 4D.

yep, and with 3ds max...had them for years..(trying to figure out how to write actionscript in Flash-CS, to do fractals..which led me to the stuff below)
today, found some 'shortcuts'...that work great, and don't cause stack overflows, crashes, lockups...smoking PC syndrome...
"Structure Synth" and "Fragmentarium" have really made the mengers a lot easier, same author on both (docs don't explain much, need to play a bit, still working on those)...but can't get the same effects (yet..
Apophysis is a nifty tool that allows you to use a gui vs plugging in code (moving triangles around seems much easier then mathematica, but not as nice for pure images, still a very sweet toy) Get this if nothing else.
Those three are FREE too, source forge projects with source code (for the geeks like me, it's great to see HOW they did it)
Can't tell you how to get 3ds max or mathematica...but I am sure they are "somewhere" on the interwebz...
(use Firfox with adblock-plus and noscript...be sure you have real antivirus software like Grisofts AVG..Symantecs NORTON or McAfee are just CRAP, and you could get infected just looking for some graphics tools)
..note, none of the three can manipulate the objects like 3ds max..
There were others, but after crashes, I got rid of most. Tried Insendia...imho, it sucks...or I'm to dumb to figure out how to enter code manually with it...slow, no precision, all GUI controls, poorly done for my taste.

Created an account at Deviant Art for some of the nicer stuff.

hope to sell something someday. (always just gave my art away...now that I'm just a disabled starving artist...I want paid:o)
