Dwc modified grow

  1. Just like the title reads I have a dwc bubbleponics system I modified to give me the affect of a aeroponics system . I am thinking about how many seedlings to start with ..one or two . One being a freebie seed I got from attitude seed bank which is a feminized strain of la confidential . I plan on starting with this one simply because I read it's a novice grow and flowering is only 8 weeks . The other seed would be white widow if I went ahead and did two would I run into nute or space issues? I have a air stone 250gph pump in a 10 gallon sterilite grey tub with two 6 inch net pots using rockwool. Or rapid rooter as my grow medium under 2ft 8 bulb t5 light producing 16000 lumens which I can switch between using 4 bulbs or all 8 . Canna a and b aqua vega nutes after I see at least 4 nodes grown Hanna grochek ph ec tds temp monitor and a ro di 75 gpd system. Any suggestions would be helpful.

  2. lmao thats so funny i just did that the other day....accidently

i was pretty drunk and im runnin an aeroponics system, and i also have a dwc bucket system i want to run, but i had the airstones and an extra air pump so i said wthell why not..

so i got the aeroponics circulator going....4 airstones...with 4 air pump lines...

YOU SHOULD'VE SEEN THE MADNESS AND BIG ASS CURRENT OF BUBBLES AND MIDST THAT CAME TO THE TOP.

next day my plants looked RIPPPED lmao

best drunken mistake i made for my babies

good luck with your grow though

check out my grow journal ;)

  3. Haha man sounds like the babies had a bubble bath . I'm still waiting for my Hanna combo monitor before taking off with this grow I only have one airstone and a single 250 pump so hopefully it isn't overkill to my girls I plan to go with a ebb n flow 2x2 tray for flowering and just use the modified dwc aeroponic system for vegging ... We shall see thanks for your insight

  4. :cool:Good call on the DWC, Boss. Cannot possibly go wrong there. I would only offer this suggestion when it comes to wether or not to grow your LA Con. and your White Widow together. I have literally seen White Widow MURDER other plants in small hydro systems. I'm not sure about the LA but the Widow is an extremely aggressive strain. If you've got the space, though, and if their roots can stay far enough apart you should be ok, but I'd look more into the LA to see how it's grow traits compare to the Widow.

  5. Thanks I've decided to go with one strain only after my la confidential didnt sprout :( .also my widow could not get proper watering due to the sterile leaks. As of today I am still tweaking my tote due to my decision. Is there anyone that can give good info on how to seal this thing ??? I've tried Velcro strips weather stripping ... And the water still manages to find a angle that drips . I went out to replaced my sterilite which was total crap to the rubbermaid roughneck with the latching. ... Should I have gone without the latch ? This one has been tested and doesn't leak nearly as much but I plan on running my system for 24 hrs sooo again any advice please

  6. This was the widow that almost made it

  7. nice thread , im running the similar system growing many different plants. I would say that the only proplem you would have with different strains is the height and total foliage span of that paticular strain. ther you worry about light reaching one plant while the other takes over.

the roots how ever seem to mingle and thrive with one another but that is a problem when it comes to water changes because they tangle around the manifold, the lid only comes up so far till the root mass is under the manifold. see my thread for my grow log and future plans.

but for now the plan looks solid good luck and I'll be tuned in!:smoke::hello::smoke:
