What if the purpose of human life was for God to find a succesor?

Discussion in 'Religion, Beliefs and Spirituality' started by Messiah Decoy, May 17, 2011.

  1. What if he's watching every human who ever existed to see who will succeed him as God?

If this is true, do you think he would consider a stoner?

  2. That'd be highly unlikely since God created all in his own image, so technically, he'd only succeed himself :D

  3. You CAN essentially be God. Merely get in touch with your true nature. Your source, your essence, your true nature, IS God. If you embody that, what difference is there between you and God?

  4. Oh how surprised you would be once you start to comprehend exactly what Infinity entails in the scheme of evolution.

  5. do you think there might be a whimsical time-traveling pseudo-purgatory plot involved too?

  6. damn you beat me to it....good show though

  7. What show?

  8. According to the bible god created Adam and Eve in his own image.

so after thousands upon thousands of years of their children inbreeding throughout all of human existence, i'd say we're more like the image of gods mutant offspring.

  9. smoking weed is a easier way for you to lead to meditation and that is where the collection of energy and frequency occurs....the realization of absolute stillness and the rising of the transcendental mind. At this point you are at the same level as the creator.

  10. I don't know,your question is vague.Which God are we talking about?

  11. Lost..

  12. Never heard this theory before. Crazy lol

  13. This would make a sick setting for a video game or novel.

God is not dependent nor reliable on individual souls or atmans or jivas, rather, it's the other way around... and that's what "separates" God from you and I.

If you, Journey, are no different than the primordial Being, even in terms of degrees, then, by all means, please tell my why you cannot detach yourself from your body and escape samsara at will?

  15.
    How do you know this?

You can just claim it and it's so right?

Metaphysics will always remain outside your sphere of epistemological analysis...

But, if you answer my question first, then I will oblige and answer yours as well. But, again, you must answer my question with intent.

How does one know anything? Tangible-empirical evidence?

  17.
So basically your claiming it's ok to claim what you are claiming without any thing to back it up. Great hope your comfortable basing your life on an assertion you are making so you can use the word god.

Oh wait I forgot you read it in the koran it's has to be true then right?

No, I am not claiming that I can claim something as true without any-thing to back it up... I'm saying your estimation of what's real and what's not, what's right and what's false, is generic, naive, and superficial.

How do you know why I believe what I believe, like honestly? Your presumptions are cute... as is your insistence on external explanations for the actuality of the God. Seek knowledge, knowledge of life and consciousness... but, again, your epistemological stance is too superficial and narrow for you to understand anything that your eye can't see or hand can't touch -- but! tis' the spirit of the age!
