Any time I argue religion with people on message boards like these, I point out the fact that no person has ever come to relgion through anything other than indoctrination (either through conquest, like all those Filipino and Latino Catholics or through parental indoctrination), personal tragedy or severe depression. Nobody has been happy with their life as an Atheist and then suddenly turned to relgion.
Yeah I pretty much agree with this. It spread so much because it was forced upon so many people. Crusades,conquests,etc. For being a peaceful religion they sure are violent. Sure times have changed but you haven't done anything different than Islam in the past.
