So i ordered my extreme q and it should be here tuesday...i hope. I have looked at reviews and decided to make the purchase because i love vaporizer and since i got it for 175 i think it was a smart deal. I have searched around and have a couple ideas, i just want to know what everyone thinks as far as a good temp/fan speed/bowl size. I know i should be using the search bar, but i don't have a lot of time, and i know that people are always willing to help someone out on this site. My first question is what is a good range of temps (both warm up and use) because i have a MFLB and as you know you do not chose the temp. Next what do users like as far as fan speed. I know that the slower the fan speed the thicker the bag and all that i just want to know what people prefer. I also want to know how big you guys pack your bowls and how many bags you rip before feeling the effects. I know this is just another Extreme Q forum, but i just like having people talk about it in a place thats easy for me to find and get responses too. Thanks in advance everyone.

The temperature is a matter of personal preference, a different temperature means a different high
. Here is a nice article about it you should check it out
. I usually pick a pinch out of my grinder and use it for one balloon. If you pack a bigger bowl and you pump two balloons out of that bowl you'll notice the taste in the second bag is more like roasted peanuts
.. Same goes for the whip, the longer you lurk it the fewer taste it has. I prefer fan speed two, I think one is too slow and three is too noisy.
Enjoy vaping

First thing you need to know about, the elbow pack. When you recieve your vape you're going to notice a lot of glass joints, and some of them have screens on them.(The whip/bag joint) Take your weed, grind it up, I haven't noticed a difference too much in the EQ4 with the size of the weed, but in general I'm going to imagine that a finer grind allures more vape from your girl. You take all of that and pack it into the screen, as much as you can, a lot can fit, do not be afraid to press it with something that just fits.(I have a small screwdriver handle that fits in the elbow perfectly, pens work as well)
Put the screen back in the elbow of the whip or bag, and go at it. Now I do not really recommend bags for a couple reasons. One, more air to vapor ratio. Two you can collect vapor goo after a time and it's as potent as hash, or so I have heard. In a bag that would be hard to collect, a lot of surface area. A whip however has a concentrated surface area and allows easier collecting. Three, the bag while awesome, is also tedious. If I use the whip it's like hitting my bowl, I then put it back down. The bag I have to wait about 6-10 minutes after starting from dead cold to fill up completely. Vapor is wasted then every time I take a hit, or remove the bag from the bag receptacle. The bag does not have a valve on it, so anytime you don't have your finger or mouth on the hole, vapor is escaping.
Anyway, on to temperatures. I don't really use elbow packs for bags because I recall one time when I did, even on fan 3 air didn't get through well, and the vapor wasn't better or worse. So the norm I put my bags on 180 Celsius, provides a nice vapor. Let your weed sit and sort of percolate with the bag on for 2-3 minutes before turning your fan speed to 1. Unless you want your bags to have a lot of air in them, setting 1 will give you a nice milky bag. For the whip I almost exclusively use the elbow pack. I put that at 200 Celsius, I don't use a fan speed, just my own draw from sucking in. It will be 1 to 2 long good hits before you get vapor, the air needs to work through the densely populated elbow pack, but once you do the hits will be fantastic.
And make sure you let the vape warm up. Now maybe my EQ4 really is at 200 Celsius when it says it is, but I let it warm up around 5 minutes before going at it, sort of like pre-heating the oven.(It reaches that number digitally in like 45-60 seconds)

Use the instructions' recommended point and then go up or down based on preference and flavour. That's what my local hemp store, The Dragon (thedragononline.com) told me when i was choosing vapourizers. I bought an Iolite. Mainly because of it's portablilty over the Extreme Q. The Extreme Q was my second choice though. If only it had been portable!!

When you get it, set if too full temp and let it burn off factory oils, then put the pull on let it heat up for 10mins. When i'm vapor bonging i go from 2010c to 230c, all depends on the quality of herb.

I have had mine set at 200 pretty much all the time. For me, thats the perfect temp. I fill the bowl half full. Any less and it feels too light. Any more and you don't get good circulation. Experiment-that's the fun part.

What up guys. So i just received the extreme q and am going to use it tomorrow (pretty excited), but am a little confused about a couple of things. So I just put the herb in the cyclone bowl itself? It came with the small screen bowl and the screen disk. Do I need to do anything with either of these? Right now I am under the impression that these are the steps to use the whip:
1. Preheat vaporizer (to 392F)
2. Once done heating, place empty cyclone bowl onto receptacle until it is hot to touch
3. Once cyclone bowl is heated, put herb directly into cyclone bowl
4. Attach whip and inhale
Is this correct? Do I need to let the cyclone bowl with the herb sit in the receptacle for a little while so it heats up? Or can I hit immediately after putting the herb into the heated cyclone bowl or should I wait 10-15 minutes to hit? Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide. So hyped for this!

I own the Arizer Solo, a portable version of that. Honestly, I think it is all a matter of personal preference. I noticed that potent bud is really harsh if it's set at a high level compared to mid shelf.
My glass bowl usually takes about 20-35 seconds for the vapor to get dense, but I'm not sure about the Extreme-Q. After using it for a while, you'll find out what you prefer.
Lower temperatures give you more of a head high and high temperatures have a slight body buzz effect. Lower temperatures are of course more efficient, but I know many people who would rather crank it to the highest level...
