Chocolate chip butter cookies recipe

  1. Hey all.

    **i will be adding pics as i make this batch. the butters only been on like 45 minutes, so itll be a little while**

    I am making some choco chip butter cookies with cannabutter as the title states. i figure i will do a thread showing people this particular way of making them.

    these are great because they are very, very easy to make and they use a lot of butter, so you get a high thc/food ratio. i use at least a half of weed and this recipe makes about 2 dozen cookies.

    Need:
    1 cup cannabutter*
    1/2-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    2 cups flour
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1 cup choco chips (or more/less to your liking)

    *cannabutter-theres a lot of cannabutter guides on this site already, my way is not unique at all. i use a lot of herb in my mix, if my final results yields less butter than i need for this recipe, i just throw some plain butter in the mix.

    What to do:
    1. Grind pot up. use grinder or scissors. save stems, well use these as well. In this batch i used 14 grams of mids and about an 8th of stems from dank buds (gonna be a good one!)

    2. make butter into cannabutter. 1 cup. if the final result is less than 1 cup cannabutter you can add plain butter to it. hashmoufs guide is great and i think its stickied.

    3. afer butter sets either let it air soften or re double boil it (gently), add the vanilla extract. if heated let it re cool to a whipped consitency.

    4. in a bowl combine sugar, flour, chocolate chips and cannabutter.

    5. make balls that are about an inch or so. put on baking sheet and press down a little, to flatten. ungreased baking sheet i should add

    6. put in preheated oven 300*f. this part can be tricky. the original recipe called for about 400, i made a batch yesterday and they were in @ 300 for about 15/16 minutes. witth this lower temp you have to kinda watch because how thick they are seems to affect the speed at which they cook. brown edges is a good way to tell.

    7. let cool, eat an get high
     
  2. I made these last weekend, and they're now one of my favorites. I use extra chocolate chips, and keep the cookies in the freezer. Make sure you're not doing anything too important on the day you eat these!
     
  3. I know this is a really late reply to this thread. But want to tell my story and why I now live this recipe, though I may modify it a bit....

    I was having all kinds of trouble getting my cannabutter to work correctly. I tried all kinds of different recipes and generally set the oven at 325, nothing at all was working.

    I was starting to get severely pissed off because a decade ago my cannabutter cookies would rock the world. I took a few years off of making butter because I was living in an apartment and we all know how funky it can be making the butter sometimes.

    I make my butter with trim, I get the leftovers from harvesting and preparing for free, I help harvest which is fun in its self, we will pull a bud off of a plant that had been hanging and just smoke it in a pipe while we sit there; clip buds and bitch about the government.... haha The grower said this batch was bubblegum.

    So I was searching all the forums for what the hell I was doing wrong. As we all know the temperatures and techniques for making the butter and even how to bake the cookies are all over the place, 200 or 350, 2 hours or 24 hours, with water or without, ground plant material or not and so on and so on.

    Just a quick rundown on my butter, simple water and crockpot method. Keep an eye on the water, crock pot it on low for well 8 hours this last batch. But if you are good like I was when I was quite a bit younger, I could do it in 20 minutes in a pressure cooker, but you have to be real careful that way you can scorch the butter just by leaving it on a minute too long, literally one minute too long and its wasted.... Anyway thats the bud talking, let me get to why I wrote this reply...... This recipe is beyond awesome....

    About 11:30pm this evening Im sitting here bumming because we dont have any smoke, weather has been shitty and I live out in the middle of nowhere, closest town is about 15 miles away. Generally I can get a hookup at work but with the holidays our schedules are not meshing to hook up. I knew I had almost 2 pounds of cannabutter in the fridge, that I had cooked with probably about 2 pounds of trim. I am not shitting, I wanted to get done fast so figured I would just do it all at once and make some very potent butter.

    So I started the infamous google search for did I screw up my butter or what am I doing wrong. recipe after recipe, debate after debate, no solid answer. Then I find this post.... I searched for "butter cookies that take one cup of butter". I wanted to up the butter content, the other recipes had generally been 1/2 cup for 3 dozen. I am a great cannabutter processor, but baking is not my forte and my wife, though she will eat the cookies wont make them because she dont like the smell of the butter.

    So to make a long story short... haha I used this recipe, the cookies finished at 12:50, we ate them around 1:10am and now at 2:40am I am smashed. Buzzin harder than the last time I smoked...

  4. I made these cookies with n oz of shake into one cup of butter
    They got me high, not as high as I've been from edibles tho
    N tasted awful by the end I was choking them down lol I think it was cuz
    I used trim/shake
    So last night I made butter again this time I used AAA quality master kush 25g
    In one cup , today I will make these cookies again hoping for better results
