Hey guys. Have a few parts I've been looking at on Newegg Canadia.

Looking for around $200 and with shipping this comes out to 205 shipped and taxes.

AMD Athlon II x2 250 3ghz ($59.99)
Newegg.ca - AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor ADX250OCGMBOX

G.Skill DDR3 1600 2x2gb = 4gb ($48.49)
Newegg.ca - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL

Random MSI mobo
Newegg.ca - MSI 760GM-P33 AM3 AMD 760G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

I have no question that the cpu and ram will be sufficient I just dont know anything about the motherboard. Would there be a better one in the same price range? Can consider a higher price if it is absolutely necessary.

Games that I'll be playing or have the option of playing are SC2, APB, and upcoming D3.

I'll be taking the psu and graphics from my current setup but planning on upgrading to a better card and psu as they get cheaper.

About 6 months ago was looking at the same ram and it's unreal you used to have to pay 100 for 4gb of this now for the same price you can get 8 gigs. Wow.

The Biostar 880 is a pretty good price and it has integrated video good enough to run 1080p content easily.

The 4gb of Ripjaw RAM is a good choice, that's what I am running in my setup. If you wanted a more powerful proccesor for a little more money, you could always look into a Athlon II x3 for $71
Newegg.com - AMD Athlon II X3 435 Rana 2.9GHz 3 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor ADX435WFGMBOX

And the x4 640 is only like 100 but i don't know if it's out of your price range, but it's a good quad core for your money

What about optical drives, and hard drives?

Will probably be going with that.

Up to you. I do not recommend Biostar due to the shortcomings of my current motherboard.

What kind of hard drive and case will you use?

Alright been tweaking my setup quite a bit. Whenever I see something I'm like oo I can get this for just a few bucks more... it adds up.

My computer is severely outdated. It was a mid-range system maybe 6 or 7 years ago...

It's been keeping up like a champ though!

Right now my choices are this:

Newegg.ca - ASUS M4A87TD/USB3 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 AMD Motherboard
Newegg.ca - Antec EarthWatts EA-500D Green 500W ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
Newegg.ca - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL
Newegg.ca - AMD Athlon II X2 255 Regor 3.1GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor ADX255OCGMBOX
Newegg.ca - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 "Heatpipe Direct Contact" Long Life Sleeve 120mm CPU Cooler Compatible Intel Core i5 & Intel Core i7
http://www.newegg.ca...N82E16827135204

Basically I need a new PSU because mine doesnt even have sata connectors on it so I'm definitely going to have to go with that. I don't really think I'll be overclocking too much but got a CPU fan incase. Don't really see a point to 4 cores. Is there? (few bucks more I can get the amd phenom ii x2 black and unlock it to 4 cores if it's -that- much better.

Also got a dvd burner for the hell of it. Not going to bother with blu ray.

Antec 900 Case
Two 500gb hard drives
Ati Radeon x1650 Pro (Will upgrade when I really need to...)

On another thought... I might go with a micro board and micro case.
I want the discreet and small tower look.

Like so http://www.newegg.ca...N82E16811112218
Or http://www.newegg.ca...N82E16811112154
Or http://www.newegg.ca...E16811129041CVF

Will probably go with the antec simply because I have had the 900 for 5 or 6 years and it's still going strong.

Looking at this microatx board: http://www.newegg.ca...N82E16813131669
or this one
