screen for bong/bub bowl

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by DIPSCHMIDT, Mar 16, 2011.

  1. I plan on purchasing some hash soon and as much as I love snapping hits, I don't want to get my new inline bubbler/ash-catch dirty or waste any hash. Plus, tomorrow, me and some friends will officially break in the inline and possibly give it a name, so we'll probably smoke around 4 bowls or so. Would putting a screen in the bowl be a good decision? And if it isn't, what drawbacks would it produce? Thanks

  2. My 3 pinch ice pinch bowl works perfect for smoking hash patties. It's pretty res'd up so the air flow is a bit constricted so no hash falls through, but still much more flow than a push bowl. Otherwise toss it on top of some bud, and lastly I would toss a screen in if you can't do either of the aforementioned things.

  3. Really there's no downside other than having to ash the bowl after smoking it.

I personally don't mind sucking the ash through in bongs, but I dont mind screens either and can completely understand why someone wouldn't want to have ash in their bong.

It wont affect your high at all if that's what you're asking.

  4. No, you dont really need a screen for hash but it definatly helps. It also depends on the quality of the hash and how crumbly/firm it is.

I find hash always gives a nicer hit if it's cut up into small peices rather than just slicing off a peice.

  5. Definitely, I smoosh my hash into a small disk and smoke it up, big chunks definitely don't burn very well.
