  1. After years of growing soil I've decided to upgrade to a fast producing system...

after talking to my partner and reading hundereds of online posts about "DWC" and whether it be stupid or not, I get how it works and I think I can grow danker!

    SO!

After a lot of searching I've come up with these supplies...

    BUBBLE TUB

    • -15 gal approx (anything to fit 6x 3.75" net pots)
    • -6x 3.75" net pots ( OR SMALLER ) is 3" big enough?
    • -Hydroton or other medium available
    • -Air pump 2x socket, I don't have any idea of what LPH I should be using
    • -3x 6" Airstones, OR 2x 12" airstones
    • -6x tube manifold
    • - A WATER PUMP! This is huge, I have no idea.... at all what GPH should I need if my water cylcle is going to be 30 min on, 1 hr off UNLESS plants are sleeping, I shouldn't need anything too big to hold a 6 pump manifold

    GROW TENT AND VENTILATION

    • Secret Jardin dr100 is what I plan on using, but they're pricey. But this is up in the air too, anything 3x3 or 4x4 atleast 5 feet tall, for under 100$ or around there...
    • 180 CFM 6" duct fan for out take into an activated carbon filter
    • 12 inch oscillating clip-on fan for the plant bases to keep stems strong and move air toward's the out-take

This is where my knowledge drops off...

I understand it's a HELL of a lot easier to mix nutes and water in an external res tub, but is it too much of a hastle to drain & fill & drain & fill? should I buy a 10 gallon res tub for mixing, what do I need to get to move water from plant tub to res tub...

I put down MY ideas, I would like to make this IDEAL but in a low cost budget (70$), excluding grow tent, and I've seen you GC growers grow hydro, hopin for the best!

    Thanks GC, happy burnin!:smoke:

  2. drop some pics!

  3. They're coming! I gotta perfect this system before I go out and spend my money, + it's a 45 minute drive to the store I'm gettin the stuff from

  4. I'm thinking the air pump he is referring to is to aerate the water and create dissolved oxygen. DO.
If this is the case what most successful dwc growers rule is 1watt per gallon of water.
Most pet store pumps are less than 5watts. Even the best 30$ one I got a petco was only 4watts.
That's before I learned my air pump lesson . Lol
At hydro stores or salt water aquarium shops they sell commercial air pumps. Buy one pump that fits your set up...
Or overdue it .. Your plants will love it.

And don't regret wasting money like me on almost useless cheap pumps.
I got a 20w pump for 40$. And it creates more bubbles than the 4 cheap pumps I had combined(120$ worth.! )
If you were looking for information on other pumps tho I cannot help you as I have no actual expiry new with those !

  5. Also there's some very simple single bottle nutrient lines out there. Very simple, jus add to res, check Ppms and ph and adjust as needed. No mixing needed.

Wish I woulda used one of these but failed to gain the knowledge quick enough. I'm sure there's tons of nutrient lines that work we'll but those like I've mentioned allow for the least amount of work in messing with nutrient ratios.

All in all it comes down to personal preference ! Hope I helped a little bit !!
