Flow, worldplay punchlines all evolved.....you can mark it off as "more complex, but nothings changed" but its a change.

And ppl would believe me....500 dollars in 1920 was alot bruh.

There were good beats back then too. Just because you have a beef with rappers relying on amazing producers shouldn't mean you should down the producer brah.

YouTube - Kanye West-Slam Poetry

Who's downing the producer? Don't get me wrong, I like beats, but I would much rather hear a good meaningful message. I for one, can't down a producer, because that's what I plan to goto school for. Music Production.

yall are dissing producers....you need lyrics and production to make a song.
I think production can send u a message or put you in a mood aswell...

Theyre both equally important to me.

Anyways I think their are a lot of people better then Kanye both now and in the past. In fact I can't really make a list of who I think is the best but Kanye doesn't make the cut not even close.

I can't deny those. But we aren't dissing producers. They are equally important to music, but like I said, people care MORE for the beats, then the lyrics. To me, that's just wrong. When people say something like, "Wayne is the best rapper alive" that's cool. They are entitled an opinion. But when you say he's the best rapper alive, but you tell me you listen to alot of his music mainly because he has good beats, I'm gonna call you out on it.

Not talking about you, but I have come across people like that. Same with Gucci and Waka. They have a decent production in their songs, but their lyrics are not there at all.

I felt like you guys were really discrediting the producers.

I listen to gucci for beats and a guilty pleasure in ignorance.

Who says I am enjoying waka flocka for his lyrics? I mean anybody who listens to him obviously doesn't listen to him for lyrics and a meaningful message. He has great beats, and he brings an energy to his music that is more suitable for getting amped up or if you are working out or something. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy mos def and big l and all of the rappers that are considered real hip hop, but that doesnt mean that waka flocka is bad. Hes just a completely different kind of hip hop. Mos Def would sound completely out of place rapping over a lex luger beat. Hell currensy sounded completely out of place when he rapped over hard in the pain instrumental. Flocka brings that crazy dread shaking energy that gets you amped the fuck up.

And I know I will get shit for saying this, but.....gucci has lyrics (dun dun dun!). I am not saying he kills it lyrically every song, but he has dropped some good verses where I gotta rewind the track b.c. he rapped a clever punchline. I think the whole image he presents as being a southern trapper and that heavy alabama accent makes people write him off as trash. But he does have lyrics.

Sorry, but I don't talk to mini mes. If I gonna debate with someone in this thread, it will be Zar. He atleast knows what he's talking about, but he keeps his opinions. You just "like" whatever he posts, and ride his dick more then Kanye. All you do is post videos and voice your opinion multiple times in the same thread. You don't know what you're talking about, so start studying, or just leave. Because if anyone is putting up a good debate about Kanye, Zar is doing wonders over your head.

Hey man...I am not trying to talk shit or anything. But I think these posters that keep writing you off as an idiot would do it less if you wrote your paragraphs correctly and used "you" instead of "u". I respect your music taste and enjoy similar artist, but you do kind of come off as not knowing what you are talking about when you type like that.

You might want to talk a shower, because if defiantly isn't me you smellin. I don't hate on new rappers, I don't like them, if all they have to bring to the table is beats, which, I rather listen to instrumentals instead of someone with whack raps over amazing beats. I didn't even say shit about you, that post was about a thread Zar made a while before MDTF or wtf ever it is, saying Kanye's gonna be the best ever.

You are like a little Zar, yet you don't understand good music when you hear it. He does. You diss oldschool rappers because they have whack beats? Listen to yourself, do you even know what "Rapper" means. It means they are the Lyrics of the beats, not the beat.

You have no idea what you talk about, yet you still pop on up in here like you do. Just because you make the thread, doesn't mean you know what you're talking about. You are beyond ignorant on the subject at hand, and you still post. You have no idea the meaning of Hip-Hop, you just listen to what the radio play.

No backbone ass niggga.
