Smell to determine Sativa/Indica?

    Basically my dude sold me a quater of some shit that smells like a fucking Xmas tree, I am wondering if this shit is a Indica or a Sativa? Can you tell what type of weed it is by smell?

    You won't be able to tell by the smell alone, but by the high it'll give you.

    Yeah I figured as much, I wanna blaze before my next class but I know if it's an indica I wont end up going hahaha.

    well I know ak-47 is a strong sativa and it smell like an xmas tree too so maybe its sativa. I have noticed sativas have more of an earthy/skunky smell.

    I've heard sativas can smell fruity and sweet, while indicas smell skunky, earthy.


    Who knows though...

    anyone ever notice how when weed is just chilling in a jar, bag, it smells one way, but when you're actually breaking it up it smells a little different?

    The look and feel of the bud is a better indicator. There are fruity variants of both species. And nice dense nugget will probably be indica while a looser feeling one(lol vaginas) will probably be sativa. From experience the highs are two entirely different animals. Sativa is a mind fuck.

    while some things about you seem like you should be a troll, i actually agree with most everything you're saying. indica and sativa are VERY different. sativas can actually make you pay so little attention to your body that you forget its there. (except for cotton mouth and the munchies) its like you're just a brain. indicas on the other hand are ALL about your body. you feel like lead.

    I don't think you can really determine that by smell. Outdoor grows smell much different appose to indoor. Test it out dude.

    It was a Indica, I definitely didn't end up going to class hahahaha oh well it was a Friday and the class was being held by a TA.

    Just hit your dude up and ask him whether its more sativa/indica or hybrid. You won't know until you smoke it.
