yellow on my first set of leaves

    i have some seedlings that are a week old from seed,they are coming on well with there first set of proper leaves out,ive noticed that the very first set of leaves are starting to go yellow on the ends.can anyone tell me if this is ok or have i got a problem ? i have 9 seedlings and this is happening to 2 of them.they are under a 90 watt ufo led about 7 inches from tops and the temp is ok,i also have a fan blowing lightly on them and i keep my light on 24/0

    I have the same thing on one of my seedlings as well. Mine went into rockwool on the 20th and were germed in the RW. I did get a little ambitious and mixed up a weak mixture of FF Big bloom and watered the rock wool with it, Im thinking nut burn, but not sure. If you didnt use any nuts im kinda curious as to what it is beacuse its sounds almost exactly like what ive got. Sprouts are about an 2" hight with one set of leaves, and the tips are yellow on one of the plants.:eek:

    Could be a Nitrogen deficciency.. Keep posting on exactly how the leaves look and I'll try and lend a hand.

    Im not using any nutes,ive got them in jiffy pellets

    no perfectely normal, the leaves either the cotlydones or razor leaves(just 1 leaf & just above the cotlydones),will nourish the seedlings till the 1st set of true leaves pop through & then will die off,turninng yellow & will probably just fall off, so dont worry mate alls well:)

    hi i just wounded if any can help i am growing two plants under five low energy bulbs each giving off 1300 lumens growing in soil my plants are about thirty cent tall which quite good spreed of leaves but have noticed that they are turning yellow then brown and on the new growth they are turning brown on the tips i am using a genral house old plant feed at the mo can any one give me some tips as this is first time grow

    your sounds like nute burn and his sounds like he needs a small feeding of N..edit i saw its just the cotelydons not true leaves...when the first true leaves start to yellow a little i like to start feeding..

    any pictures of your setup with the UFO's?

    hi peps just wanted to thanks for the tips i have replanted in clean soil and moved my lights up bit more they are looking alot more healthyer now i just about to change the lights to 20 hours instead of 24/7 as they have taken four months already but not surprised as only using five 20 watt low energy house old bulbs but each gives off 1300 lumns will keep ya updated

    Any one help me i have 5 seedlings about 4 weeks old and this is what they look like they are turing a little yellow but the big one is looking like its slowly dieing i have my plants outside and yea just need help as im a first time grower
