always wanted to hook into a cobia. It's so strange how they look like jacks, but are nowhere near closely related to them. They're actually basically an enormous remora without the sucker
The Cobia was swimming around a massive ray. As soon as my lure hit the water he nailed it and gave up easy. If I remember correctly he was 25lbs. That Jack on the other hand was a dick. Took about 45 minutes to land him. Unbelievable strength with that one. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Yeah we get yellowtail amberjacks here, brutal fighters, they're known to snap 20 lb thick mono like it's 2 lb test! The first yellowtail i caught took me nearly as long to land, i was on a crowded sport boat, and i had to go around and around ducking under everyone's lines, had to yell at a few people that didnt speak english to get them to move, haha. that thing nearly ripped my shoulders off, 30 lb fish!
I recently got into bowfishing for tilapia. They are great fried. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum

Went fishin over the weekend. Sat night caught 2 small catfish and Sunday caught some crapie off the dock and a small bass when went on the boat. Was to windy to be out on the lake. Hoping to do some more fishin when I'm off this week if the weather is nice .................................................... I dont do drugs, I set plants on fire and breathe.
This year has sucked. Fishing has been no good. Well really most of the water hasn't been fishable... Rain and more rain and then some more... Mississippi's crazy high... And the streams keep flooding... Ugh worst fishing in a long time
I want to get into fishing. I only went once before with my dad when I was like 7. As a beginner, what do I need? Fishing rod Tackle box Bucket Bait What else? Omega369
