I searched to see if this has been posted already but found nothing. So at work last night one of my co-workers(he is hmong) saw a book I happen to be reading at the moment about what The Buddha taught. He came up to me and asked "Why you reading about the Buddha? did you know he went to hell?" and I say (not trying to debate or anything) "Oh yeah? naw I never heard that" and he tells me about this monk that died and came back from hell and saw the Buddha in the lake of fire. To make a long story short I googled it when I got home and found this: Thoughts? My thoughts were simply that it's propaganda trying scare people into converting..it's a cool story though I wish I could type more but I have to get ready for work Peace.
you cant fake that kind of devotion i say but i noticed the monks understanding of buddhism was very practicial , to him the buddha stood for proper ethics , his life lacked love and most easterners consider Christianity to be a form of "bhakti Yoga" which is the yoga of love so maybe thats what it meant , maybe im trying to find a clever lupole , who knows
tldr ffs. if the dude had a scary dream on the edge of death and just didn't die, i don't wanna spend an hour reading this shit just to find that out.
Didn't Jesus say, "the kingdom of heaven is within you"? I believe Jesus was enlightened and his message of unconditional love is certainly one to be followed but I think the Church is just an exploitation of his message.
Yeah exactly thats a mental thing I met somebody that had a death experience and said that in hell they saw biggie smalls and that it was like a city with fire covering the top and they were saved by an angel and now convinced they too are an angel i mean these things just happen its a trip...just like on shrooms you need to have the rght mental state or your trip could suck...in life you need to keep a good mental attitude else you could start off death witha bad trip
lol either you misunderstood me or im misunderstanding you im talking about the dmt experience when people die some seem to have pure trips in states of bliss and love and the only difference is that others seem to start out awfully then get better im not saying you need to eat shrooms while you're alive to have a good death trip
I was also talking about the DMT death trip. I have never ingested DMT, but I can somewhat grasp how it could be really life changing.
I'm pretty sure this story gave me nightmares a few hours ago. Can't remember em tho. Damn these scare tactics!!!!
I think it's a pretty cool story, but that's just what it is. You get punished for having free will but not believing in God while children in Africa die every day from starvation and hunger? Yeah... that's a God I'd rather not worship, especially considering he's asking me to become absolutely shallow and subordinate to his will - on the streets, this is known as "being someone's bitch." There are human beings who can make better religions than this "supreme being" edit: I'm going to laugh when he dies again and is confronted by the Buddha, who shakes his head and says he failed the ultimate test.
Sure you can if you really want people to believe something; or should I say Convert people. That sucks, I figured you'd be one of the few to actually read it, definitely didn't take me an hour to read it, it probably looks like a lot because it's in quote Maybe this would be better on the eyes Back from the Dead, by Athet Pyan Shinthaw Paulu Or ears.. if you can deal with it haha [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ6QZ5mhr5k"]YouTube - Monk who came back from hell[/ame] But was your friend dead for 3 days? Bottom line though, I don't know how someone could believe this.
This, isn't dmt released in HUGE a huge quantity when you (your brain) think your about to die? Thus causing near death experiences.
It's a hoax unfortunately : Singapore DharmaNet Homepage He doesn't exist. It always worries me when people need to lie about their religion to try and get others to follow it. MelT
