Damn, wish I had a grow room I could get some big light into, oh well, one of these days, until then I'm stuck with my little CFLs, but hoping for some big things from them, gonna have to go transplant my babies now, I just found out once their roots hit the side walls of a pot they stop growing, you can't transplant them later damn
hey, Samson. Came across this in the 2011 contest thread. Can't wait for the update. I have a journal but not many people have checked it out (or at least said so), so just trying to get some validation/evaluation on my first try.

No worries man.. It'll be here tomorrow.. If it says they are too big you can always opening them up in paint and resize the pic.. I usually resize skew down to 15 / 15 and it lets them work everytime.. If I didn't explain that well let me know haha.. I just fixed up the grow so I'll add some pics in tomorrow.. I have the 600 hps up and running.. Just gotta make sure it doesn't trip the fuse box.. Have a good night man.. I even tried renaming them to see if they would work, oh well, I'll take some in the morning.
Ahh, gottcha.. The only way I've seen to bipass that is to open the pics in paint.. Then recrop the same photo so it is smaller and copy that.. Open in new, paste, then rename.. It will usually lets it go through.. I'm switching the 3 girls over tonight to flower so hopefully in the next month or two I'll have some good buds to show you.. Later man

The ballast is switchable, but instead of switching it over I'm using it only in flower.. I already have almost 400 watts cfl in the vegg room.. Right now Danielle is in there with 200 watts on her.. I'm planning to check the girls though here in a few hours and I will probably unscrew a few bulbs.. I'm sure the clone has rooted well, but I'm not sure if she will be able to handle 200 watts for the entire 18 hours right off the bat.. I'll probably need to work her up to it She is also my entry in the grow-off I am currently participating in.. I'm not going to check for roots for another 8 days or so, but they still seem to be pretty stout.. I may go take another lsd clone tonight just because I want to fill up the flower room a bit, but I'll worry about that another time.. I actual prefer to leave each bundle separated so I can adjust to each plant individually, but since Danielle is the only one these two are combined.. For the last pic here is the start of my schedule for the little ones.. I borrowed the idea from MX and I have to say it seems to be coming along rather well.. Although this is just estimated now once I grow the strain and inserted the proper dates I'll know exactly when I will be updating and when new strains can be added in.. I do need to update the flowering dates for the 3 clones, but I won't be doing that until they root so I know what I'm working with.. I'll also be adding in the strain we decide to start which you could have some say so in if you guys wanted.. If so just answer the following question.. So what do you guys think for a newbie? My boyfriend germed his first bagseed and it is starting to sprout today.. We are both going to start seeds and he wants to start with one that we have multiples of.. Heres the choices.. TGA Subcool 3rd dimension Querkle Jilly Bean Vortex Jack the Ripper He will be growing one and I'll be growing one so we have a 50/50 shot for a male and female which is exactly what we want to get so I can collect some pollen for breeding.. Heres a pic of my setup currently and the two little ladies. Currently I'm running 4 lights in there, 2 100w 6500K, 1 55w 2700K, and 1 65w 2700K (thats the big huge one hanging from the clamp socket up above, not turned on right now, as it causes such a heat issue..)
thanks bro..always nice ta hear good words..april will be 1 year growin' so i still consider myself a newb...always will...thats just how i roll...keeps the fire burnin'..plus the love of not payin' for dank..just keep your head down...hands in the dirt...and cruise these forums...its always better ta learn from others mistakes i say...and work to tweak your grow each time...lights......medium.....nutes.......root addatives...bloom suppliments...containers..genetics...temps and heat extraction....watering and ph.......skill level...i try to tweak something each grow...this time im workin' on roots..they aint sexy cause ya cant see em ..but they gotta be taken care of...and keep it fun...make it work and your grow suffers...i gotta thread sammie can direct ya to with lots of good growers and people..stop by anytime and any questions..dont hesitate ta ask..good luck with the grow..deacon

First off sorry for the lack of an update last night.. I was exhausted.. This is the first week I've worked out since the cpa was closed over break.. If only I could go back a few years ago.. Then I'd be playing college fastpitch and wouldn't have to work out haha.. Gotta do work though.. Your little one's are looking great D... No stress.. No worries.. You my friend have the gift of a green thumb.. I maybe following in your steps and adding a scrog in the flowering room.. I've been tying them down a different way so I'm not sure which would be easier/better.. I already have either chicken wire or fencing.. I'd just have to make a frame.. Laziness I guess haha.. Now thats a funny video when your high right there!!! Ok well I figured Id update here bc I have a lack of flow on my grow thread... The ladies have been vegging for a little over a month, the strain is trainwreck and green crack, they are growing in coco with heavy 16 nutes and superthrive during stressful times, they were topped a few days ago and will go into flowering in a week or so, ohh and they were transplanted today. And they are under a 175 w mh but often love to run outside on hot days to soak up some rays. Pictures are from yesterday and today... Well, I had an exciting day!!! Last night I went to the fox farms site and did their "find places that carry our products" search, found one not too far away from me, so I went there today and it turns out is a VERY well supplied grow store, I got the main thing I wanted to get for my little girls, some Ocean Forest soil, I figured it was time to start doing this right, but while browsing their items, I noticed quite a few fun little things I'm interested in, first of all (Good news Deacon-) I found smart pots, so of course I had to get two 1 gallons for my girls! Then they had several more expensive items that I am really, really interested in, one is the iceolator bags!!! (haha reading samson's little comment on trimming not being one of her favorite parts reminded me, cause I was thinking "well, I'll be looking foward to using those trimmings so I don't think I'm gonna mind all that work at all" ). They had two sets one was a three bag set and ran for like $150, and the other was an 8 bag set and ran for either $250 or $350, so they're expensive but damn, the results would be VERY worth it, so I'm pretty sure I'll end up getting a set by harvest time... Oh damn, this is a much better price... Watching movies with the boy and a nonsmoking friend.. Hanging low for awhile.. Update later tonight.. Mmm.. Weed.. haha.. Also I've drank quite a bit which is really unusual haha.. Sigh.. I have a tolerance of 3-4 beers to have a nice buzz.. I went past that.. Why someone would choose alcohol over weed though I will never know.. I'd much rather smoke a joint than drink a beer, but that's just me.. Now time for the update.. I took some pics last night in prep for not being able to go back down there so without further delay.. Two nights ago I transplanted danielle to her final home in a 5 gallon bucket.. There has been a slow amount of growth, but I can tell she is still adjusting.. I also have the 3 clones.. No roots yet.. I need to go buy some cubes to let them root in because I know it would be a lot easier, but I keep forgetting to go get them haha.. The way I do it isn't working the greatest, but guess we will see.. Sorry no pics.. I'll wait to take a pic when or if they start to root.. Now for the girls in flowering.. Alice (lsd) She is getting rather bushy and I'm finding myself constantly spreading out her branches.. I may make a small scrog and do that on her while I continue to tie down cleo to see the difference in branching/flowering.. Cleo (red dragon) After accidently topping her she has recovered well.. May take a few more clones from her since she takes longer to flower.. That way with the clones age it won't take as long as going from seed.. Tried to get decent pics of the lst job.. Finally.. Bonnie (blueberry gum) I have to say I'm not too thrilled with this genetics.. Maybe it was just me, but I expected it to get at least half the size of the other two, but that didn't even happen.. Since this was a freebie if she ends up smoking well I may order just one more seed.. That one I'll top since I didn't with this one.. Maybe that is the reason for slow grow? Oh well.. The bud supply is completely dry here except for jacked up swag and with the girls I'd take a t-break before I'd buy that stuff.. We are down to one to two bowls a night, but at least if we can't find any for awhile sometime in march will be the first harvest.. Hope you all have a great day..
