Well hi there everybody! Got some Barney's Farm Red Dragon Feminized seeds for my 2nd grow.

Started 5 seeds on November 20th using Stylez1877's method: http://forum.grassci...tion-420-a.html

The story so far:

Seed 1: Came out in 24 hours and was planted on Nov 22nd. Used a red party cup topped with a plastic bag which was removed once soil was broken about 3 days later on the 25th.

Seed 2: Basically the same as seed one except the seed didn't sprout for 36 hours so it's about 2 days behind number 1.

Seed 3: Sprouted in 36 hours. Planted in red party cup, started to send out a tap root and died. Perhaps from too little moisture, was tented but not sure. (DEAD)

Seed 4: Sprouted in 48 hours. Planted in red party cup but didn't break soil after 7 days. Lightly uncovered seed to find a long taproot that had partially coiled around the seed head. Gently adjusted the little sprout and re-covered. Soil broke 24 hours later. Basically it's a week behind Seed 1 and 2.

Seed 5: Never sprouted from seed. Tried soaking in water and water with a bit of hydrogen peroxide, in the end I even split the seed a bit and soaked it but once I opened it all the way it was just white mush. (DEAD)

The seeds were all started under a 65W Silvania Spot-Gro that I got at Lowes.

Moved em from the little spot-gro light into my Sunhut XL under a 600W Sunpulse 6500k on December 21th. These pictures are from December 27th, a week after I moved em to the HID. Also started them on week one Canna Coco nutes as they were kind of yellowish and obviously needed it.

Here they are after about a week under the HID.

Transplanted to five gallon buckets on December 31st. Switched to 2nd - 5th week vegetative levels of Canna Coco nutes. You can see a bit of over fert starting to show as a few leaves on the larger plants have a bit of curl on the leaf edges and a bit of tip drop.

I flushed em good and made up a new, slightly weaker mix for the next few days.

Here they are yesterday, January 6th:

January 9th update. Into the tub for a thorough over-water and a completely drenching spray of neem oil. New stakes and plant rings installed.

nice plants man, everything is looking good. I'm excited to see how your red dragon turns out, and I'm happy to hear I'm not the only one with tiny weird white stem bumps.

Good luck with the rest of your grow, I'll be checking in to see more updates.

Be easy and stay safe!

Good deal man I'll be watching yours as well so we can see how they come out. One of my three is gonna get moved into the mother tent before I flip the lights so I'll have clones for later.

Seems like Chiddy and I are having some of the same experiences with our plants. The big plants are 24 inches tall and the little one is 16. The spots on the leaves seems to be from when I nute burned em.

Not entirely sure but I'll be keeping a close eye on it.

I'm almost sure it's a nute burn. I flushed out my plants today. I think they should recover quickly. Besides the small problems, everything is looking good man.
I'm laying off the nutes until I see my plants absolutely need it. I'll check back in a bit :)

Just found your thread. Fellow coco grower here. I really dig those strawberry cough plants you grew out in the other journal. I would love to get a clone of that.

Tuning in for the red dragon!:smoke:

Yea i wish I had a clone of it to be honest. Grabbed myself 2 clones at the dispensary and didn't have a mother tent at the time I flipped em. It's a really, really great smoke, lucky for me.

If the Red Dragon or the Jack Flash are anywhere near as good I'm gonna be in nug heaven.

Yeah, I bought an oz of the SC last year and it immediately become one of my favorite strains. I'm getting ready to harvest a Dutch Passion S.C. but it doesn't look like it's gonna be anything like what I smoked. Still good bud but not the same genetics.

Hehe well the people will get an update today as it's spray and pruning day for #1 and #2. Plus the two clones I cut from #4 seems to be doing well so it will pictures galore in a few hours.

Thanks so much for stopping in and taking a peak. Makes it all much more fun and completely worthwhile.

Ok so we pruned but didn't spray as I don't spray if I can't leave them under the lights for at least 6 hours to dry off.

Included are pictures of #1 and #2 before and after pruning. The plants are 38 inches tall today, 8 inches of growth since flipping the lights 7 days ago.
