Favorite Audiobooks?

  1. Hey so I've gotten into audiobooks in a kinda big way.
What are some that you've liked? Looking for good stories and narrator.
Also any that were reaally good when high?

  2. The Harry Potter Series read by Stephen Fry.
I enjoyed Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas as well, though I don't know who narrated that.

Oh, and it's not an audiobook but I suggest you to also listen to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy radio plays.

Ancient thread, but Shutter Island is a great Audio Book.  Read by Tom Stechschulte.

  4. The Bartimaeous Trilogy audio books, voiced by Kevan Brighting.

As anyone who has played The Stanley Parable knows, Kevan Brighting is a veritable sensei of snark. He is the best choice in the world to voice Bartimaeous, a cheeky demon whose only refuges in a world of slavery and constant mortal danger are clever insults, bullshit artistry, and rude gestures.

Give it a listen, OK? I've never met anyone who listened to this and didn't love it.

I'm getting into audiobooks as well. Any recommendations? I'm checking out Paulo Coelho  :bongin:

  6. I have a really hard time staying focused on the story when I try to listen to audio books. However, Stephen King's short story, "1408," read by the author himself, was sublime.

  7. The Power of Now
