I won't go into Cal-Mag, pH, and Flushing, since those presumably may have some place in bottled nute growing. But as for Molasses..... pouring sugars into your soil is a dangerous proposition. First of all, they cause bacterial populations to explode, to the detriment of fungi and protozoa.

Secondly, when the plant needs nutrients, it exudes sugars from its root hairs in order to attract the beneficial microorganisms that process nutrients and make them plant available. If you dump sugars into your soil, the bacteria are attracted to that, instead of to the plant root hairs. And they have to spend time processing that sugar.... time that could have been spent making nutrients available to your plant, but instead is spent processing molasses.

Third.... the idea that you could "sweeten" your buds by adding molasses to the soil is beyond stoner-science. The tastes and odors produced by MJ are terpenes, and each phenotype produces a unique terpene profile. You cannot..... ever..... alter the terpene profile of your plant by feeding sugar to the soil.... and the sugar does not make its way to the buds. The main product of photosynthesis is chemical energy stored as simple carbohydrates, i.e., sugars. The idea the plant needs us to give it sugar is ridiculous- the plant spends its whole life making sugar.

FWIW, the element most responsible for the production of terpenes is Sulfur..... if you want to boost terpene production and increase the taste/odor of your buds, it's a tough task, but your best bet is making sure your soil has plenty of sulfur.

Wow, lots of stuff here. There are definite reasons I do what I do and have had solid results every single time. When things go wrong I adjust. At any rate, appreciate your opinion. I am NOT a strict organic grower, I may use organics for certain things and certain reasons but I feel like a balance keeps everything in order and I do what I do for one reason, big healthy plants with high yields. That's what I have gotten so far and will continue to do. Some of the notes above make sense but I know what works for me. I will try your tea as it may have merit. I will keep using what I use as long as I am convinced it produces fatter buds, whether it's that or just the plants like my personality, I challenge anyone to dispute the results! APPRECIATE the candor very much.

Right on man! And I misspoke slightly.... everything I said was about living organic soil growers, not all organic growers.
