This is my first grow and the first grow box that i have ever made. My plans for my grow are to buy a clone then transplant her into my 3 gallon square pot. When she gets 3 sets of leaves or 8 inches tall bend her down and start to lst her around the pot then later on scrog the vertical branches to save some more room. I am going to use kelloggs patio plus for my soil but im not sure what nutrients to use yet. What are some good cheap beginer nurtients to use? I am going to start off the lights at 24/0 for 2 weeks then change it to 18/6 then when i go into flower change it to 12/12. My lights are 4 26 watt cfls. For veg im going to use 3 6500k and 1 2700k and for flower im going to use 3 2700k and 1 6500k.

How do you guys think im doing for my first grow? Any advice or changes i should make? Anything i should know before i start growing my plant? I would really appreciate some help. Thanks guys. Going to go smoke a bowl now. :smoking:

Okay so i have my box running right now and it says that my box is 105 degrees. I have that big fan running, my intake that i can feel blowing cold air in and my exhaust is blowing out hot air? My thermoter was only 2 dollars. Maybe its broke? Or should i put mylar on the walls to help reflect more light and heat cause my walls are pretty hot in there? Maybe there absorbing the heat and keeping it in there? But im doing a lst scrog grow so mylar would only help me right?

truthfully thats way too small and your plants will out grow that in 4 weeks for sure also your heat problem is probably caused by the very small area in there I would say build a new bigger one

But my intake fan is only set on 9volts but im wondering if i should hook up a 12v power supply to it? I didn't hook it up to the 12v because it makes the fan loud but its in my closet so i dont think you will be able to hear it

Yeah but doing my lst with my scrog will make my plant like 18 inches tall. I have enough room for that and if i need more room im going to make a box on top to bring my lights up higher. But i think i have enough for one plant so far.

for my intake. picture one
This fan is really loud and i need a way to quiet it down. Any ideas?
I was thinking about putting more carboard on top of the fan to maybe quiet it down some and just wrap the cardboard with a lot of tape to make it quieter.

you might be able to do one plant maybe two very small plants using the scrog method which isnt really worth it..
if you wanna do a scrog grow I would say go out and buy one of the biggest rubbermade totes you can find and build it around that...
but seriously tho you're gonna have to scrap that grow box
