a metal halide light in a simple reflector, so the bulb is still in the open and directly emitting onto whatever is around it. The bulbs are coated to prevent leakage of intense UV light correct? How long can I be around my plants under this light? I don't have much room and may be a few feet away from the metal halide light myself. The plants seem to do fine... will i be ok? I just have to check the bulb for any cracks or breaks, correct? If any are there then thats serious danger of UV exposure... anything else? am i right? thanks fellow botanists
