Any Drummers on GC ?

  1. Thanks, echoe... :D

  2. I love Neil's solo at Burning For Buddy.

Here's one of my favorite drumming performances. It's so technical and difficult, but Marco seems to be having a blast the whole time.

  3. yeah jazz drummers are pretty sick, my favorite is Max Roach. In my opinion, hes got the best hi-hat skills.

  4. A good friend of mine is family with Dave lombardo, not his son, but close family

  5. I used to drum when I was younger, but my instructor was my neighbor and we ended up moving.

This is him playing "Tom Sawyer" by Rush

  6. Thanks for sharing that video, man...I enjoyed watching it. There's a guy on YouTube named Martin Periard who has some of the best Rush drum covers I've ever seen...he gets every song he plays nearly 100% right, which is no mean feat when you're dealing with Neil Peart's drum parts. The next time I'm at my house I plan on making some videos of me playing "Tom Sawyer," "The Spirit of Radio," "Subdivisions," and maybe a few other Rush tunes. :metal:

I'm surprised no one else is posting Jimmy Chamberlin :confused_2: He's gotta be someone else's favourite too? I know that he is highly influenced by Neal Peart although I've never really looked into Rush personally. Jimmy was the drummer who taught me being jazz trained is key to being a master behind the kit. Not to imply I am a master lol.. cos I am not, and I'm not jazz trained. I need some discipline.

  8. damn, they blocked it in my country for copyright grounds? lol wow...

I'd rather have drummer who looks like a corpse if I was going to be in a metal band.

    LOL what the fuck.

  15. Granite those guys have amazing speed skills, but i think they have no soul. I skipped around like 5 parts of that video and its just been the same thing..

  16. Frost is actually an insanely good drummer, as shown in this song. His fills are awesome

  17. Im not one to favor that kind of music, but thats my opinion. He does have some insane chops though. :smoke:

  18. 90% of metal drummers bore the shit out of me, even if they can go faster than their metronomes can handle.. but Frost is an exception, for the older Satyricon works are very fond to me, and his drumming is a part of that.
