So I remember all the way back to science class when my teach told me that when you see red paper its because the whole spectrum of light is soaking into the paper except red is being bounced back. Since, (correct me if I'm wrong) plants like red and blue light durring flowering stage, what if I lined the floor and walls with red and blue (painted plywood, paper, red tinted mirrors) to bounce back a more pure red and blue light. Would that be advantages to the plants? Has anyone thought/ tried this?

May as well use white or mylar or something... white reflects all the light back, including red and green... more light is better, not like the other spectrum of light will hurt it!So I remember all the way back to science class when my teach told me that when you see red paper its because the whole spectrum of light is soaking into the paper except red is being bounced back. Mostly correct, plants like more red spectrum during flowering and blue during vegatative growth. This is why most people line the room with white, which will reflect all spectrums, or mylar which is a highly reflective material.

white paint is the best if your ventilation is low.
its cheap and easy to setup.
i just did some mylar on my first setup and its a bit wably but not horrible.
if your gonna get mylar be ready to have a good hour to set it up.
