My First Grow - Aero/Hydro - 3 OG Strains

Hey Everyone, I am new here and thought I would blog about it. I decided to grow Aero/Hydro so we will see where this first grow takes me. Being that it is my first one, I put a lot of time/effort into it so I am hoping for some good yield but we will see. There are 35 ladies in there, doing somewhat of an experiment with my bins, with different amount of plants per bin. You will see in the pictures below.

Materials:
Grow Tent - 10x5x7
1" PVC canopy inside my tent to hang lights from
3/4" SCROG screen
8x400w MH
2 600 CFM Fans sucking from my lights and tent through a carbon filter
25000 BTU Air Conditioner for some climate control.
Dehumidifier
Growtronix Grow System
A lot of time and effort

Nutrients/Additives:
House and Garden line, the whole line!

If I didn't mention, here are my temps:
Nutrient reservoir temp is <68
Tent temp with lights on: 78-79
Tent temp with lights off: 70-72 with the option to go colder

Day - 17 VEG - I Vegged for 17 days, just felt like it lol. then a 36 hour flip.

Tonight will be Day 7 and will be flushing nuts and raising up the ppm. right now I am at 950ppm for the first week of flower. Going to lower I think...

Day 14 of Flower: Only 2 more months of flower ugh. Tied a lot of the plants down as they were getting way to tall and my TRU OG was stretching

Going to have to start trimming the bottom leaves. Any comments and suggestions greatly appreciated. PPM is getting a little high, going to lower it. Probably keep it around 800ppm

May have mentioned, I too grow aero-hydro. But man, your system is where I want to get to, except I use CFLs. It's just me and my wife, I have a 4 bdrm house, with plenty of space to grow, I used a 4.5ft X 3.5ft X 9ft closet on my 1st run. But that is now becoming my vegetation, seedling room, my new flowering room is 8ft X 5ft X 10 ft. I plan to follow your grow. Wish ya luck.

Thanks. I am currently looking for a industrial place to grow as I don't want to jeopordize my house lol. Now that I am in the flower stage, I am going to hang some CFL's down in the canopy to try and get those buds to get a little bigger

Let me know if you need any help or ideas, I have done lots of research and am always looking to learn more.

Flushed with Clearex for 12 hours and completely remixed the nutrient tank as well as did some much needed trimming, but I need to do a lot more! bump!

Spent 2.5 hours trimming and training tonight. Quite fun and I learned I can actually get to the back of my tent (Thank god)

Lowered my ppm down to 530ppm from about 1000ppm+ because they weren't using it and the ppm was just rising as they were sucking out the water, so now I am going to gradually raise it 100 each day till about 800 and keep it there. Pictures tomorrow.

I always dumped my nutes/water every 7 days w/o fail. I'd rinse the roots for 24 hrs w/ fresh distill water, added a fresh batch of nutes, a week later, do it again. I beleive that in made a diiference in the growth. Will do it again on next run. Cost about $250 for distilled water when you go thru 13+ gallons/week.

Yea I usually do 24 hours, but I have a really nice RO system which the water that gets to 8ppm. So I am happy with that

for 300 bucks you can just get an r/o system..if u have laundry hook ups..it hooks right up to that and you can put the waste tube down the washer drain..

Yeah, actually I think I will look into a R/O system. It's a real pain in the ass to haul 15 gallons of distilled water in the house each week. Yeah, one day I was off loading my water, my nieghbor next door yelled over, you sure go thru alot water. What a snoopy fuck, should said back at the re-tired cop, yeah it's great for my indoor grow shit brains but didn't, yeah your heard me right, he's an ex-cop

ya thats really bad, almost as bad as lugging in tons of soil.. def invest. its worth the security.. mine takes about 1 hour for one bucket 3.5 gallon..slow, but worth it

Mine does about 50 gallons a day I believe. So much easier!
