  1. I have one plant about 5 feet tall. It hasn't started flowering yet. i have a couple questions, if its a female doesn't a male plant have to fertilize it for it to bud. so is having one plant pointless. and about what height will it start budding. thanks

  2. damn 5 feet? it should start flowering by now, how farinto is it? I would look for sacks of seeds at the nodes, thats a male. If not its a female...

  3. Having one plant is fine.

  4. ok, females create bud males create pollen sacks, when fertilization occurs the female gets seeds, unless you are creating strains, or boning up on your seed stock you don't want males. a plant will not bud until the light cycle is right, hight is not an issue. budding is triggered when day light and dark is equal.

here is a quick sketch of male and female preflowers so you can tell the difference
