Now, I was going to pick up a decent glass bong today, but it really got me thinking, are Vaporizers really THAT efficient. Say you had like a .2, would that get you higher in a Vaporizer, or a bong? If it's not too much of a difference, I would much rather have a bong. But if It's that really much of a difference, I would go vaporizer hands down. And also, how much does an Average Vaporizer bowl need?
You can get .025 grams to give you 4 - 5 solid hits using the Myrtle Zap or Purple Days vaporizers. However, there are many other things to take into consideration. For example, the high produced from a vaporizer is different than the high produced from a bong.

Vaporizer makes you 'feel' higher as well. So both in mathematics and my subjective observation (and countless others I've vaped with) I can say that the vape gets you 'higher' and will without a doubt deliver more THC to your system. Which one you buy depends on your preference. The high from smoking is much different as you are getting other chemicals besides THC and cannabinoids. I myself prefer the clean and long lasting high of the vaporizer as opposed to the quick (partially oxygen deprivation induced) rush of a bong or joint high.
I'm no expert but having used countless bongs and about 4 different vapes I would probably choose the crappiest vape over the best bong. I've gotten pretty toasted from just a couple hits off the right bong but nothing in my opinion beats that clear and smooth vapor high. Not to mention I've never vaped and felt like my throat was on fire.. My first/only bong is in my top 3 favorite bongs to hit and I'm prepared to put it into hibernation when my new vape arrives tomrw
I bought my vaporizer before I even started saving to invest in a bong. A nice tube is definitely next on my list though.
A vape with adjustable temperature will serve you just fine. At higher temps, the highs are VERY similar except a vape knocks you on your ass with WAY less product, some more than others. Here's what I have and a quick summary. Iolite - great vape for what it is. I drive with mine, take it in the movies, sit by the pool with it, etc. Get a medium McDonalds cup with a lid, ball up a papertowel and drop it in the cup, put the Iolite in there with the lid on and youre set. Its pretty efficient and has worked flawlessly since Ive had it. Use premium butane tho.. Ive seen other people post threads about cheap butane causing it to do some odd stuff. I use King butane in mine and its never let me down. The only downside is that its not temperature adjustable. You get the "vape high" and thats about it.. not that thats a bad thing. Volcano Classic - If you can afford it and you dont care about the portability the Iolite offers, this is the Cadillac of vapes. Its VERY well built, comes with all kinds of spare parts and pieces and is a workhorse. This was my first vape and it got used daily for 6 months or so multiple times and Ive done nothing but clean the chamber and replace the bags. With the adjustable temperature control, you can get the vape high at around 5.5 on the dial or the bong type high at around 7-7.5. Its not exactly the same as hitting a bong but it's pretty close. SSV - My latest purchase and my new darling. My woman loves it and she's as much or more of a toker than I am. Half of my glass collection is at her house for her to use it. The SSV is a whip style vape and takes some getting used to if you've never used a vape. The SSV is hands down the most efficient vape I own. It uses VERY little product and will get you absolutely blasted. The hits are pretty thick but then again, all 3 of the vapes I own hit very thick anyway.. Im not sure why people think vapes dont produce anything you can see.. mine certainly do. If its just for you and money isnt an issue, Id get the SSV before you buy a tube. I was really into vapeing and then started buy glass and I have a fortune wrapped up in glass and then one night I thought "One of these days one of our pieces is going to get broken and Ill be heartbroken" and I decided then and there I wasnt buying any more glass. I picked up the SSV about a week later to add to my collection and Ive used the SSV 95% of the time since.

any one that says a vape gets you higher then a bong is a liar. i own a volcano and it does NOT get you higher then a bong. and it does NOT conserve more then a bong. edit: also the high does NOT last longer
Lol. Vapes get you way higher than bongs, with way less. Buy a vape first, tube second. That's what I did and I couldn't be happier.
When I get my own place with a job I'm going to get top of the line to compare them. I've never tried a vape and its been forever since ive ripped a bong. since ive picked up smoking again (march) ive only smoked blunts and bowls
I can attest to the fact that a vaporizer does NOT get you any higher than a bong. It might be a different high, but it will never surpass the high from a couple good sized bong hits. I have a vapor brothers unit and i have used volcano's, SSV's, and MFLB and not one of them got me higher than my bong. Stop spreading lies just cause you cant take big hits.

You're not siding with me, you're siding with science. All I'm pointing out is a study that was conducted proving vaporizers as the more efficient of two smoking methods. That doesn't mean your bong doesn't get you higher, it's just not as efficient and therefore will require more cannabis in order to reach the desired effect.
Vaporizers are by far more efficient than bongs. Take the most efficient bong and compare it to the MyrtleZap or the Purple Days, no contest.
