    Just thought I would ask this in here because this is where people do the posting of pictures and shit. I was talking with my buddy today about these pics of this afgan goo I took today and how fucking awesome they look! I found a way to open them in their fullsize, which I guess I've never seen before. So you can see everything!!!! But I sidetrack.

    What I wanted to ask you guys is why is everyone so afraid of putting photos on the internet. I was mentioning to my buddy that I was trying to resize a one of the afgan goo pics so I could put it on Counterstrike as a spray. He said "I wouldn't do that." I asked him why and he just said because, no reason what so ever. I mean the cops aren't going to track you down to bust you for the 8th you just picked up, then why worry? I have another buddy that says hes afraid to just research MJ related subjects on the internet. I mean come on?? Cops have bigger fish to fry then some piddly consumer that buys once in awhile. He still said there would be no way he would do it, even after I told him that he shouldn't worry. So what is your guys/gals take on this subject?

    I know right? Thats what I was saying to my buddy. He still is scared and shit. I mean I'm not saying don't be cautious but seriously hes looking too much into it.

    The main reason is because of the fact that if a warrant is issued to your ISP (internet service provider) the traffic that you send can be tracked especially since when you post you will notice that the traffic is not encrypted (in your address bar you will see http:// and not https://). While it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that they will go so far as to do that it DOES happen from time to time (not necessarily for growing pot but it is a possibility).

    there was a thread on here about posting pics from your iphone. apparently they can track it back to you, because when you post pics from your iphone it has details on where it came from and when it was taken. same with digital cameras, theres information that is attached to the picture about when it was taken and what type of camera it is that took the photo. im not worried about it though, ive got like 100 pics in my gallery and ive never had any trouble.

    If you post in a website that preserves the data most GPS enabled phones will save the coordinates that the picture was taken at. This forum will remove that data but other websites will not. If you take a screen shot of your photo and save that you remove that risk.

    The risk with some cameras is that they have a serial number and if you used a credit card or you sent in the warranty registration then the serial number can be tracked back to you - the same info about the cell phone coords applies to this as well, this forum will remove that or take a screen shot.
