Hardcore, Metalcore, Deathcore Thread

Discussion in 'Music genres, Bands and Artists' started by Indica1222, Jul 29, 2010.

  1. I figured GC doesn't have enough coverage of this type of music, so i'm start an appreciation thread for it. Basically, this can be a place for people to exchange lesser known bands, post videos for everyone to listen to, as well as yet another thread for people to chat while they toke their choice herbs. For those who are unfamiliar, my favorite bands from these genres are:

Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Asking Alexandria, Miss May I, Winds of Plague, From the Shallows, As Blood Runs Black, Bleeding Through, Escape the Fate, Attack Attack, August Burns Red, After the Burial and probably more i forgot.

Are there any other fans out there in the GC Community?

  2. Slipknot.

  3. i fucking LOVE avenged sevenfold, they are by far my favorite band. i saw asking alixandria just a couple weeks ago (caught a pick).

your missing All That Remains, they are amazing.

check out a band called kittie, all girl band. i saw them live with AA, they killed it.

    deserves a mention:

    BFMV
    bring me the horizon
    parkway drive
    TDWP
    disturbed
    killswitch engage (i love them)

  4. No fucking way! I just went to see Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Winds of Plague, Shadows Fall, Lamb of God, etc at Mayhem Fest yesterday! Avenged Sevenfold's new album is fucking heroic!

  5. umm... a7x wasnt at mayhem when i went... wtf? im going to see them with disturbed in september :)

i love the new album, welcome to the family and god hates us are dope, and fiction is sooooo fucking sad

  6. Its the only show they did for Mayhem, it was the day the album came out, so they had to play somewhere! God Hates Us, Buried Alive, Natural Born Killer and the last song, piano with the rev (might be fiction) is sick.

  7. Napalm death and suicide silence really sooth my soul. Other good ones are oceano, suffocation, impending doom. And of course lamb of god and metallica, which I've seen both live....together....thought I'd let you know :D

  8. wow none of the bands mentioned are hard/death/metal-core except august burns read and as blood runs black.

3 words, 1 band: the acacia strain.

  9. thats BULLSHIT lol you lucky little shit. haha i like buried alive and yeah i think your talking about fiction, i love that song.. whats your favorite a7x album?

  10. i think i saw impending doom at thrash and burn haha and im seeing suicide silence at warped

  11. I was going to warped..but i didnt have the money at the time. And i wanted to go to summer slaughter

    Crowd War!

The scream at the beginning of this song gives me chills.

    Bury your fucking dead.

Ennui is probably one of the most brutal bands I've heard.

  14. All of the bands mentioned are Hardcore, Deathcore, or Metalcore, hence the whole point of the thread. ABR is Metalcore, and ABRB is Deathcore, and maybe my favorite band, but anyways... I've seen the Acacia Strain live, and have met their singer (he is a friend of my cousins who has a studio in mass.) Great live performances.

I've seen Impending Doom before. Lamb of God is not high on my list, and they really don't put on a good show in my honest opinion. I saw em a few days ago and they weren't much to look at.

Haha yeah it was sick. My favorite album was always a tie between Waking the Fallen and City of Evil, however this new album just may take the cake.

  19. They don't sound too bad. I can't remember who it reminds me of.

  20. Yeah I like them did you listen to any of the other ones I posted? They're a bit on the weird side, but now that I've gotten used to them I've been really into it.
