Your guitar gods

    My band got to play a show with one of my personal guitar gods the other night. Archaon, real name Idar Burheim, from the Norwegian Black metal band 1349. The guy is a total fucking master of black metal riffs and has been playing metal since before I was born (1992). Not only did I get the honor of getting to play a show with one of the biggest black metal bands out there right now but I also got to see one of my all time favorite guitarists from a mere few feet away standing in the same spot that I generally stand when playing at that venue (Ground Zero in Spartenburg SC). I should add that he is good enough to make up for only having one guitarist and not just because he plays through 2 Marshall full stacks; his talent is more than enough to compensate for not having 2 guitarists.

    the man single handedly changed the way the world thought a guitar should or could sound like. listen to the whole video if you want to hear a guitar sing and beg for mercy at the same time. wish i knew when/where this was... do enjoy!

    My favorite vid on YouTube haha. I can't help but watch the whole thing every time I push play. Eddie made the guitar his bitch.

    And my mom is the biggest Zep fan on the planet and we always argue over Eddie/Jimmy. She can never know Page sparked Eddies idea to start tapping.
