weed whiskey - extremely potent!

    hey everyone,

    just thought I'd share one of my favorite treats. it's pretty simple and it has probably been posted before, but peep it anyway.

    get a fifth of wild turkey or some other bourbon that is 100+ proof. The higher the alcohol content the better, but make sure to get bourbon whiskey as it tastes the best.

    you have to use dank bud for this, as sugary as possible. I recommend using a half ounce per fifth of liquor, but you can get away with using a quarter. open the bottle and pour a little out - add some bud, pour a little out, and add some more, until all the green is in the bottle. the reason why you want to pour a bit out and then add some bud is that you want the bottle to be full to the very top. once it's all in there, seal it up tight.

    now, let that bad boy marinate for a week or so, up to 3 weeks. do not shake it! just let it sit in a DARK spot for 1-3 weeks.

    open the bottle up and get a strainer. use a funnel with the strainer and pour the liquid into airplane bottles or another resealable bottle. I recommend using airplane bottles because it doses the whiskey out in perfect amounts.

    the soggy plant matter that you strained out is pretty worthless at this point, so go ahead and throw it out.

    the liquid will look mostly like regular whiskey. however, it will smell like crazy ass skunk weed. pour into a highball glass that is filled all the way to the top with ice. when the liquid hits the ice, it will turn from brown and clear to greenish white. it will look like a white russian in the glass.

    I must warn you that this is some extremely potent stuff. four people can share one standard highball glass and be completely off their ass - so fair warning. it's not something you can drink all night, but that would be pointless anyway. the best part is when it changes color/opaqueness when you pour it.

    Instead of pouring a little out each time, why not pour half out into a seperate container, put all your green in, then top it off with the reserved whiskey?

    I love me a good tincture! Have you tried using Everclear? Works wonders!

    I also shake mine daily and let it sit for 90 days or so. Not sure how much difference that makes, but we consume this stuff by the drop, not by the ounce.

    that works too of course. I dont like to shake because i find that it makes the beverage cloudy from the get-go - I like to watch it turn cloudy when I pour. I have used everclear as well, but didnt like the taste as much with wild turkey. i find that drinking this stuff straight over ice is the only way to go, no mixing for me.

    That sounds like a good idea but I have a better one, how about using a gallon of my own homemade  180 proof corn liquor and put  a pound of buds in a 1 gallon vacume extracter, Fill it the rest up with the shine. Hook up a vacume pump so the alcohol will boil at a much lower temp and let it simmer for a few hours. Shut it down and run it threw a 5 micron vucume filter.

    Can you do this with a couple grams of BHO? I was thinking maybe using a quad - half oz of BHO to make a really strong tincture where you only need a couple drops.... A quad - half oz in a fifth would be like having a ton of weed vs just an oz. Since it takes like 5-10 grams to make 1 gram of bho.

    i would probably pour the alcohol into a container that would hold ALL of the alcohol and ALL of the bud...just sayin...like to make it easy on you an shit.... :yay:

    i like your idea but to be honest...his "eye-dee-yer" is way the fuck more hilly billy then your idea is. :metal:

    Why waste good whiskey?  And.... you're not decarbing?  Seems like a waste of whiskey and weed.

    You can up the concentration to 14g of herb into 3 oz of everclear for max strength before reducing.  I'm still trying to work out a good decarb cycle since I've got ~10oz of popcorn/trim to work thru.  My goal is to fill a JD Single Barrel bottle with some fine ass dragon - shooting for a 1/2 ml dosing, but i'll be happy with 1 ml.
