I've been growing White Widow in a DWC system but would like to try other strains.
What strains are good for hydro. I'm looking for good yields and not too long flowering time.
And a strain quite resistant to mold.

So what's your experience people?
What strain are you growing?

Cheers.

are you doing any type of SOG or SCROG?

If so, stick with indicia dominants.. I know you're looking for good yield (who isnt) you can always grow og.

There is nothing that cant be grown in hydro that I know of. You just need to figure out the taste and high you want and go for it.

Indicas are shorter flower times and more stony. Sativas get taller, longer flower time, and more heady. Hybrids can be anything in between.

some strains are just more suited for hydro then other's...
some really stress out when in a system and hard to dial in and some are cake..
two really well known hydro strain's are Northern light's and Grapefruit diesel..;)

Thanx for the info. I might try out Northern Lights. I've been growing WW for a year now and I'd like to try something else. Something that smells different :)

If you check out White_Widow_Man's Grow he just finished up Red Diesel in Bubble buckets and the buds he pulled look like high times worthy

I would think the question moving from WW would be do you want more of an indaca or sativa high? I believe WW is pretty even.

I cannot wait to try my AUH#1, although its an 80% sativa, and can get quite tall indoors, possibly unfortuntately lol. (Long flowering time too, about 13 weeks)

I'd like something from 50 to 80% indica. I don't want an 100% indica plant like Mazar but thanx for the info :)

I was thinking to maybe try Opium. Has anyone here experience with that strain?

This is good to know. I'm converting to hydro and one of my strains is Grapefruit
Diesel. I have to say my BC Kush was a lot easier to grow in a soil scrog. So I'm
really hoping the Diesel does better in Hydro.

Northern lights is very easy, good tight bud, kick ass buzz, 60 day finish, but a pure indica. A sweet sickly smell but not to strong.

maybe try Super Lemon Haze

ive seen videos on youtube of a guy growing this in DWC and they look pretty good but could be even better if he full used HPS lights...if ya wanna see, just search Harvest Every 2 weeks...or Harvest Every 3 weeks (he was going for 2 weeks but his setup and flower time of SLH coincided...

he got a fairly decent yield and if u look at planetskunk.com's review, SLH sounds the shit

im jus waitin on my SLH seeds and DWC all the way
